Thank God for that Debbie character. Don't know much about her, but she seems to have spoken the truth in a way that Andy needed to hear.

She's Aaron's cousin, and, occasionally, has her moments.

Ah well Debbie was always one to speak her mind even if it mean the person she spoke to would be unhappy about it. I am not implying that Debbie Dingle is nasty but she makes Bobbie in "Home and Away" seem like a softie.

*Absolutely agree*. Everything that *Debbie* said is true and he most definitely needed to hear it...

Aaron needs help asap and that´s why the truth needs to be known (among many other reasons). Say what you want about Debbie (many people call her the ice queen) but she is the most effective many times, Andy needed that. She also gave great advice to Finn last month.

JordanjamesX Yeah I know she is one of those unlikable characters for most people, the ice queen like I said. Robert is also being sooo disliked by audiences (which is normal, love to hate him is what I call it). Back to Debbie: despite this, she is one of the leading characters for a reason and the actress plays her perfectly. I remember I didn´t care much about her, but when the Cameron story exploded, and Gennie´s death, and the siege week and all that... that was amazing. I really think she is one of the strongest in the show.

As someone who has Major Depression Disorder, calling us selfish for our suicide attempts just makes us hate ourselves more and want to die more.

Debbie’s the only brave enough to point out how selfish his behavior was.

Seeing as it's been five years since your comment, I can only hope that in the intervening years you've realized how unfair, untrue, and harmful it is to stigmatize people on the brink of suicide by labeling them as selfish, cowardly, etc. And anyone else who still thinks this about people with major depression should educate themselves on the issue and learn to have a little more compassion and empathy.

to over and over telling him "what Katie would've wanted" is not gonna help, not in the state he's in now, he already made clear that to him Katie is dead therefore she needs and wants nothing, while he only misses her, think of all the momets they will never have again, and how he desires to reunite with her in death. What Debbie said makes him think of his kids - not only his responsibility to them to be there or to make a good example in fighting through life's worse parts, but that they exist and all the good moments. If I were Debbie I would also try to convince him to joining them for a movie that night, the kids and him over pizza at hers, maybe the Lion King where Simba deals with Mufasa's death and how his life once again fills with joy and new loved ones as well as old. Make him feel there's small glimpses and moments of light in all the darkness.
