Took mine apart today. The power valve in my kit was the correct one with no step. It is Hygrade brand I got from summit racing.

The air screws only just need to be hand seated and backed out. Applying that much force with a screwdriver will destroy the cone tip of the screw

What is the easiest way to tell the difference between the economizer valve in the body, and spark valve that screws into the throttle body, Spark valve I think is not included in the kits I have bought..I may have that wrong..if u can post a pic of the economizer valve with )flat mating surface)that screws into in the carb housing may clear things up for me .. the rest of build was pretty straightforward.. Thanks for video 🤙

I've got a 59A with unknown internals and a mild cam. It has a Thicksten tall 2 intake with 2 94s on it. I'm at sea level. What would you recommend as a starting point for jets and power valve sizes?

Thank you for your video Wired Customs! I have a real problem. At 7:56 you refer to the "squirter needle" install. I used your part 1 video to disassemble my carb and when I flipped it upside down, it didn't have the needle under the squirter (I can see the orifice at the bottom of the hole, so it's not stuck in there)! and the truck ran up until 6 years ago when it was parked. I can start it by squirting gas directly into the carb. I just finished rebuilding the fuel pump and just started rebuilding the carb (no squirter needle in the rebuild kit). It's a 1938 Ford 1/2 ton pick up truck I'm trying to get running. Could it have possibly run all these years (since 1987) without one? Where could I possibly find a new one? I do have the "tall clusters" you refer to. My carb is marked Ford, 94, 15/16, EAB. I don't know if the carb or motor for that matter is original. I believe it's an 85hp V8 flathead. What do I search for? Squirter needle? ANY help would be appreciated
