Two Conclusions this video reaffirmed 1. Zach LaVine is making sure we know he's worth that contract$$ 2. Jamal Crawford will always be that old dude in the gym who could take your soul if he wanted too. *1st edit* Just posted a video ranking the top 3 pg's and would like your guys' input on my list *2nd edit* Some ppl are mad because my list^ leaves out a player but based off the criteria I disagree with them. Go tell me what ya'll think lmaoo *3rd edit* Just posted another vid on the brawl between the Jets/Redskins in todays joint practice

I respect Lavine putting in work. As a Bulls fan I definately think he got paid a little to much for what he did last year and with a knee injury. But seeing him out here working makes me respect his work ethic and give me hope for next season.

Sauce Kartier I think its more then water and weight. I'm 35 and i still wm dunk easy. From my perspective, it is the will. The will to stay young. Sounds corny, but hey, believe it or not, the will is the main factor in this equation.

Zach is so Athletic it's crazy. Not just jumping but quickness splitting the pick n roll and attacking the basket he has another gear that most guys don't have. He could be an elite wing defender if he wanted to be and a 28ppg scorer. I think he'll explode this year in Chicago if he's the #1 option. Bro is cold ❄️⛄ Just gotta take it to another level on the court I think he can do it. Looks good coming off an ACL 💪

Ok at 6:33 he never hooded the ball, I watch many times in slow motion and he hands nvr went under the ball to be carried. Went to dribble to the left and switch hands motion to head to right. But he would’ve hold the ball and yeah it would be double dribble
@o0oo0o706 жыл бұрын
Tyler 7:34 is a stretch bc he went to catch the rebound and nvr dribble before hand so he the go to either hesitate or dribble where ever. If had catch it and dribble and stop and dribble again, that’s a double dribble
@generalkenobi86546 жыл бұрын
Tyler when the fake so good you thought it's a double. He got me there as well. Lol but after a few rewatches yeah it ain't. he switched it to the other hand then faked a pull-up with his hand still above the ball. He's got some new moves to show this season. I think Zach sure is worth them dollars he gonna get for his contract.

Feel like there’s better ways Lavine could be spending his summer than pounding the ball into the ground and thrashing soft defenses. Talent is obviously there but unless he’s gonna shoot 47% from deep he badly needs to become a more complete player

we get it zach, you have a nice jumpshot, now dunk somebody
@Q.Q.6 жыл бұрын
There's no question in my mind that today's players are as skilled as ball players have ever been in history. At the same time, there have been "evolutions" (more aptly, devolutions) that have resulted in the game becoming, for me, nearly unwatchable. One main one would be the complete universal adoption of the hesi-step to set up a move or a shot (ushered into the league by Iverson - who, according to him, learned it from a high-school teammate - but made worse and worse over the ensuing years), which, in the vast, vast majority of cases, results in the ball being carried just prior to the "move"-step. Yet, It is never called. This has really fucked the game. Skill is in juking defenders without palming the ball, not discontinuing the dribble thirteen times to lose them. If you're gonna carry while hesi-stepping, why not just go full-bore and just use both hands to pick up the ball, give it a few seconds, start dribbling again, and so on. If you're gonna carry, i.e., discontinue the dribble, then just go full-hog: double-, triple-, quadriple-dribble. Why not? That's skill. Apparently. Another one is the travel-to-Timbuktu step-back ushered in by Harden. By the time the dribble is discontinued, both your feet are already on the ground. You are allowed to take the step-back jump-off at that point, landing with both feet to jump for the shot. What Harden does too often - and, which has also been universally adopted - including by LaVine, as demonstrated at around the 2-min mark in the above video - is not jumping directly from your two grounded feet after discontinuing dribble into the two feet planted for the shot, but actually taking an extra step in between those 2 pairs of 2-feet-groundings. Stops dribble, two feet are grounded, takes another step to push further off to land another two feet for the jump-off for the shot. This is travel. Gives unacceptable, unskilled advantage to the offensive player - just like the hesi-step carrying - and is contributing to the game being nearly unwatchable. These have to be removed. At all levels. Including little junior-high school kids now doing this.
@Q.Q.6 жыл бұрын
And, I gotta work on that LaVine move at 6:33, the two-handed-hesi-cross-double-dribble master-move that every kid should now learn.
@Q.Q.6 жыл бұрын
I agree that the "bulldoze" Euro-step, as you aptly termed it, is problematic, but not for the reason you cited. From what I can determine, most of the time, in fact substantially all of the time, it is not a travel. Why it is a problem though is that generally the play results in a foul being called on the defender, when it really should be an offensive foul. The bulldoze Euro, unlike a legal Euro where the offensive player takes a side-step to veer around the defender, here the offensive player, rather than side-stepping the defender, simply veers into the path of the defender. The defender is moving his feet trying to stay with the driver. The driver is on a parallel trajectory to the defender toward the hoop. The driver suddenly employs the bulldoze Euro, veering from his own trajectory into the defender. There is nothing that the defender can do at this point as his feet are moving, but to take the bulldoze from the driver. Because the defender is moving his feet, the refs call the foul on the defender as if he is blocking on the drive, when in fact it's the driver who is changing his trajectory into the defender's trajectory, in effect, like you say, just bulldozing him. This should be called an offensive foul, a charge, and it should be called consistently. Players like Harden and Giannis - who are also supremely skilled proper Euro-step incorporators - will then stop doing the bulldoze Euro.
