Been a fan a really long time. It’s weird because I don’t remember them saying anything about Vince ever having vocal lessons, but Coffman said it right here. Interesting. One thing I always loved about Motley Crue is it wasn’t fake. You could hear it in their voices here in 1982. They’d fight you in a heartbeat. Wasn’t that long ago that Vince was still taking swings at people!

Been a fan since early 83 and this is the first time Ive ever heard Alan Coffmans voice. I'm sure there must have been a valid reason for dropping him ,and I'd love to hear the real details of why they did it. They might not have made it off the strip without him

They've always maintained he had no idea what he was doing and that he ripped them off.

million I get him not knowing how to navigate the business since rock bands weren't his thing but I'm not sure where he could have been ripping them off since he mortgaged his house twice to help support them . He paid for an apartment, paid rental costs for equipment, paid for some stage clothes, vinces singing lessons and if I remember right he financed most of the too fast for love recordings as well. I dont think he got much in return. Once elektra signed them they dropped everyone who had helped them get there ,including the early stage crew.

To be successful, you need a solid team that can help continue your momentum. Metallica had to change members, labels and crew members but they were respectful about it. So respectful in fact that they were able to invite many of them to celebrate their anniversaries and Rock N Roll Hall of Fame induction. Lars and James regularly make references by name of the people who helped them during the early days. Can you imagine Motley doing the same. They'll use people and kick them to the curb. Not taking away from their success and artistic talent in any way.

@@MrJackcorgi Correct. I’ve seen videos where others that helped the band with promo, stage gear, set decor, and marketing were just ghosted….when they were signed the label took over and the guys didn’t have the guts to fight for or tell anyone they weren’t part of the future
