Thank you for sharing! I have thin hair on too as well and am seriously considering locking my hair. You give me great hope that I can, indeed, loc my hair. And yes!, I do see quite an improvement in thickness from March 2023 and June 2023! Keep doing what you're doing. It's working for you! Stay encouraged!

Hi I was just doing a search on sisterlocks and your channel popped up. There is a considerable difference in you hair growth. Great job. I work in corporate america and sad to say other black women can be bullies by snickering behind my back about my hair loss. I am trying to figure out what I am going to do. Vitamins are great for helping hair loss. For now I am covering up with partial wigs. Take care.

Looks great my consultation in my area is in 2 weeks, so excited! I think your primary doctor being Caio’s great, and your hair looks great. I see the difference from March. Keep up the routine and wait it out.

Sisterlocked for 12 years. In an attempt to prevent the thinning I’ve seen in mature sisterlocks, I am transitioning to knotted locks. Going over the same grid for years I believe causes damage to follicles and causes the grid to get wider and wider. The plucked chicken look is the result IMO. My ends never locked, for some they never do.

I agree about going over the same spots multiple times. I have found that when I go a little longer with no retie has inadvertently helped.

I really like your locs and the way you maintain them. Do you have a full washday routine? Are you willing to share your loctician’s information?

Menopause caused my hair to thin very badly August of 22. Once I was on hormone replacement therapy, and checked my thyroid I focused on thickening my again. I used flaxseed gel every time I washed my hair. I made teas with fenugreek and gloves for my hair. I did not wash the flaxseed or tea out of my hair. Immediately I noticed less shedding and stronger hair. In six months my hair was thick like it use to be before menopause 7/29/22 I got my Sister Locs, density is average and I have 504 locs. I will continue using fenugreek and clove teas to hydrate my hair and the tea is also a DHT blocker. At 56 I need all the natural help to keep my hair.

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m expecting similar thinning. I’d like to blame menopause. Where can I find the oil you’re using?
