If it were me I would have installed a Cat C32 if you could get the electronics figured out. Would probably have better longevity and would sound and run smoother. I hear those C32 engines have been great engines in mining applications

Can you push the QSK? Yes. should you, no. the newer electric Diesels are a pain in the ass to work on and much more expensive to fix. Diesels like the Caterpillar 3508 have been around for decades are cheeper to fix, easier to find and get parts also much more simple to work on.

Even bigger than the famous 747. They pulled the 16v92 Detroit Diesel out and put in a Cummins V12 QSK 23.

They pulled out a QSK and put in a Cat 3508. And the 747 is both bigger in size and power

Wade Walker, was it not wise to push that little qsk to 950?

sounds horrible. V8 diesels just don't have the sound of brute strength like the inline 6. With the exception of a Mack

RJ 1999 Amen. I tell people the same thing and they ask me what's the difference. Do those v8s sound like they'll make 9,000 hours?
@kanapkizuranem3 жыл бұрын
@@heatmoon People why are you getting so emotional? It's a heavy-dute enigne, it's primary task is to provide torque and power not to sound like a symphony.

@@kanapkizuranem why are you judging? Are you a democrat? Ever consider it might be our preference, or opinion?
