cool work as always......just thinking outside the box, have you tried doing a northern light coaster ( mix different colours in layers) @ piping bag...would be great to see...or do a flower (kind of like acrylic pouring) multiple colours.

They are really beautiful. I love your excitement when you do you resin pours. I wonder if you rush your second one more than the first. You had mentioned that the first always seems to look better than the second. I am not sure how you can join the loops of your petals and not have the blobs. If, perhaps, each row of petals line up the same you could run your skewer from the first row out to the last row, being careful to stop at the joint of the last row. But I am not sure. I loved them regardless. Your tenacity is so reassuring to me to never give up. 😺❤🤗❤

Any time you put an opaque in a shimmery mica it like coats it makes it dull , mica has a film that give it the sparkle. Use paint in resin think as long as your under 10% all is good. And yes in the V of the petals your getting the blobs Thanks Julie💖 your so creative can't find time to do art lately so nice to see all your different ideas Beautiful Colors 💛🌻💛

I am no expert just a beginner but would like to ask a few questions. Why do you add casting craft to your colors? Maybe try not adding it. And adding less casting craft to the white ratio especially when using a less dense resin like the barnes may reduce blobs. I love your enthusiasm and your optimism I love watching you. I'm gonna leave Texas and move to Australia if Australians are like you....lol

Hi from the uk, I love these as they are, very unique 🤗 The only thing I can suggest for getting blobless (for want of a better word lol) is maybe not joining them together? So instead of one long string of petals you just pipe “C’s” around leaving a small gap between each, so when you blow them they will join together creating petals? Hope this helps, apologies if you’ve already tried this 🤦🏻‍♀️ Sara x

I think they are beautiful 😍 My thought about the blobs is, as you do the loops there is more product being left in one spot as you finish the petal and start the next petal. One possible way to try again would be to do more of a wavelength type petal instead of the intentional pause/hesitation as you make the petals. Wish I could attach an image of what I mean, but if you Google “wavelength image” then it should make more sense. Also, you talk about hairs and stuff getting in your resin, well, I know you lift the pour cups for us to see, but every time you do that you could be picking up bits off your work surface and dropping it into your resin. Just a thought. Love your tutorials 🥰

I don’t have any resin to experiment with, but if I did, I’d try to test how heating effects the white sinking. Some artists on KZbin are making flowers without heating the resin. This is becoming a sport, trying to figure out the resin!

Hi Julie! I was thinking I feel like you should try not adding the White to colors that are not white. It may be so opaque that nothing else can color it. IDK just a thought!! Love you 💕

Another amazing tutorial and beautiful resin coasters.I think you will always have blobs where you transition from one loop to the next because you are pouring over that area twice (once on the downstroke and again on the upstroke) which means you are laying down twice as much product as is being laid in the rest of the loop. I don't see how you can eliminate the blob if you are making loops. And I think they are beautiful, Julie! Hugs ~Cheryl

Make half circles where you want top of each petal on every other petal so you don't connect them while piping them might get rid of the blobs because I think Cheryl is correct on the reason for them

Hi. I'm new to all this. I have the supplies to begin. I love these and see this video is 9 months old. Do you have a video number for me that you have improved on this technique. Also can you explain "bloom" meaning to me please. Lastly the white casting liquid, can you explain that also. I've seen it used like this and with alcohol ink but am unsure why artists question it's effectiveness but say it is necessary. Any video numbers to watch that explains more would be fantastic. I know you have many subscribers and many comments, if you make it to my comment and answer I will be thrilled. I'm Michelle, originally from N. Wales, UK 🇬🇧 and have been living in Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 for 34 years. I'm one of your newest biggest fans and appreciate you sharing your wonderful knowledge and time. ❤

its the alcohol ink... it tends to spread on the surface more.. its lighter and whispy. less blobby. as for the gold. try using a colored paste instead of white. like maybe a darker tan or dark mustard as a base, bet that comes out more like what youre hoping for. they kind of remind me of jellyfish...

they're so pretty😍😍even the blobs look nice to me. I wonder if I can create the same pattern without using white alcohol ink? in my country there's no white alcohol ink! alcohol inks are available in all colors except white. we have white paste, white mica powder and white mica paste(exactly the same as mica powder but not in paste form) but no white alcohol ink 😢

Its my first time working with epoxy resin and almost a week ago I finished making a coaster, but until now, whenever I put a glass of water over it, it leaves a mark. The mark disappears after a few hours depending on the duration of the glass on the coaster. As if my resin is “soft” or bendy. What could this mean and is there anything I can do about it? I made a lot and I dont wanna waste it 🥺
