96 Impala SS LS2 Swap Trans and Gears Update.. T56 Conversion next????

I finally got the transmission serviced, driveshaft shortened (it was to long) and the rear diff replaced and adding 373 gears. The oil leak was actually coming from the oil filter seal. I thought it was coming from the block and running down at first.
Now I am trying to decide to stay with the 4L80e or do a T-56 conversion. What you think?

Did you install 3.73? What else you changed in transmission or any reprogramming in order to shift correctly?

Yes it has 373s and you tune the pcm for your shift points.

What does the best cold air intake due to the gas mileage and adding headers? Also does scoping out the hood adding vents help with the speed at all? What would you recommend that would help the gas mileage and make me move faster

@@ExtremeRC4x4 yea I’m looking to find a Ls2/T56 combo pulled from a gto. I’ll put the ls2 in the c10 and take out the 4l80e in the SS and put in the T56 in the SS. Then I’ll have the ls2/t56 in the SS and a LS2/4l80 in the C10.

Keep it auto... the whole reason for a 96 is shifter in the floor. If you gonna do all of that get a 94-95

On that 4l80 did you have problems with trans crossmemeber? We are doing the same swap on 96 caprice but we have that same crossmember and it doesn't fit it keeps hitting the body.
