Hey man, very nice job. I can tell you love these cars. What does the actuator on the passenger side of the car do? it looks like that is where the TPS is mounted, I think mine is getting stuck. Throttle pedal moves ok, but its sticking somewhere. sometimes the idle is high, sometimes it's normal.

@@nolanconlin7236 I lubed the cable and it helped. It doesn't return to idle everytime, it hangs slightly open. Gotta jab the throttle to close it all the way

@@rhawk2424 I’ve been trying to figure out the exact same problem on my ‘96 xj6. Gets stuck at like 2k rpm and cruises at like 20mph lol lmk if you figure it out. I’m taking apart my throttle body to inspect the flap soon

just watch the video, take a look at the throtle body, there is a little alen screw, i dont know the size, on the side of the throtle body, you can adjust the idle by turning that little screw

my 1996 xjs jaguar V6 is running a little high idle, can I adjust it turning the little hex nut that you show in the vide with an allen wrench. Also do you have a video showing how to take out the throttle body.

I tried that did not work well on the throttle body there is a idle control valve with a wire connector replaced it and went back to perfect 700 rpm its that black unit on the side with the wire connected to it

sorry i did not know how to reply, now i know; what happens to the xj 300 wich is from 94 to 97 ,is the v6 engine, so many owners had this problem with idling , so as you can see in the video that little screw in the throtle body is adjustable,
