does the door have to be removed to replace the top bushings?

back injuries are "cumulative" piece by piece all ads up so take care with the lifting and get that young nephew who throws hay bales all day.. These pins seems to have serious quality issues. Just replaced mine last year. This next set of pins will be made in the USA. Quality of the Chinese bushings is crap --- surprise surprise !.

I don't think any of my nephews have ever thrown a hay bale in there lives. i have. and i know about how the injuries are cumulative over time. some things will never heal. i just try to find smarter ways to lift. but once in a while you just have to grin and deal with it. i find it's the brass in the aftermarket that goes to crap fast.i thought about using copper tubing just to see how it would hold up compared to the brass. i'll see how long the ones i put in hold up. so far they are fine. thanks for the comment.

@@KensStuff the hay bale joke was just that. If the brass bushings could last as long as the hardware in my back I' d be real happy. I used a big floor jack on door's center to control it in the wide opened position. Worked quite well. The lower bushings were almost chips and dust when I got them out. That is poor quality brass. Upper was actually in good shape but replaced them anyway..

@@johnzarollin2749 i took the hay comment as a joke. but the truth is what it is. they don't do manual labor. the pins and bushings in mine was original ones. starting to think i should have gone to the dealer for the pins and bushings. i'll check into that if i do the passenger side.

So, you'fe making a video showing how to remove & replace, but it never occurred to you to search on linr foe the proper way to disconnect that electrical connector without breaking it....ok.
@KensStuff2 жыл бұрын
I could have left the part of the breaking connector out of the video and no one would have known. but parts get old and brittle and break and some times you just go at things the wrong way. i was just letting people know shit happens. i'm not perfect and neither are most people. the connector went back together just fine and i haven't had a problem with it at all.

lol rude comment. He showed you he broke it so that you wouldn't do the same. You can not be lazy and look up how to take it off yourself. The video is definitely good enough. Considering hes just a normal person that doesn't have a filming crew or all the professional tools and training on making videos he did an outstanding job sharing this info.
