When I finish this movie, I was stuck at the place where I sit and keep listening the end scores with my wet eyes. My mind was like jumping from memories to memories. Then I walk out from the theater I didn’t go to grab my bike. I feels like to go for a walk alone. my mind was traveling through school days. I sat at the divider and plugged my headset and start listening this song. I played 4 times then I walked back to my bike and went home and I made a playlist with this song and kadhale. I don’t know when did I slept. But when I woke up the first thing I searched was this songs. Thank you so much 96 team for giving this wonderful movie.

It has been 5 years and still I haven't came out of the movie and its songs. I have been able to remember all the songs of 96 word to word, even though I am a Gujarati, be it Thabangale, vasantha kaalangal, Iruvangi theevai, yean and kaathale. These are like once in century film songs. After 96, the songs I like are of Charlie( Malayalam), Premam (Malayalam) and Godavari (Telugu).

The expressions of Sethu and Trisha is unmatched. They seems to be living in the film, So natural and beautiful. wonderful music and storyline. Nice locations and lighting and editing. But if they had married this love would have been vanished and led a life of a common couples.... But now their love will remain evergreen.... They have that sweet pain... Only age will be added as a count in numbers but mentally they will be in the 96 batch only till the end of life.... So love remains as it is..... Even if they are married to a different person..... '96 : An emotional rollercoaster ride, that drives the journey to a soul of an heart in a melodramatic way with a soulful music and beautiful lyrics. Vijay Sethupathi personified as Ram on screen was literally holding our attraction towards the screen with his facial expressions and body language. None would say that was an performance, it was so natural, especially the scene in which Janu felt Ram's heartbeat. The deep breath made audience to paralyze for a moment. Surely that scene was my personal most favourite scene of Vijay Sethupathi. The moment in the climax when Ram adds some property to his collections will say what a true love is all about. Trisha as Janu was simple and yet classy. Janu will certainly replace Jessie and Hemanika in most of our hearts. This role is an obvious milestone in her long lasting career. She was alluringly beautiful in each of the frame with her girl next door look. A climax shot in which Janu closes Ram's eyes will kindle your thought of regret of your deep past. The way she deplored from her heart of heart will make you to experience the sudden downfall, after a steep climb, in your emotional rollercoaster ride. VJS and Trisha's performance wouldn't have been complete without Adithya and Gouri playing teenage Ram and Janu. The way Ram narrated the feel of his love will, certainly, make audience to relate to their first love. They both were equally carrying the movie without any void being created in audience's engagement level. Govind Vasantha is the real hero of this melodrama. He not just pulled the string from his violin, he pulled out our souls with his string.
