kudos to your wife for helping you out. i got my 77inc G2 and it wasnt easy putting it on the mount that it came with, also for an oled at 77incs it was pretty heavy. these tvs are very well built. best looking tv ive ever had and i had all the previous top-of-the-line sony led"s.

Love my 77C1. The 97G2 will have to drop +$20,000 before I would even think about upgrading. The short throws 90-120 inch projectors seem like a nice compromise until the 97G2 prices come down.

Shouldn’t test for uniformity issues until at least 4 hours of viewing and after the first automatic pixel refresher run. There are plenty of pictures out there that show even really bad uniformity on OLEDs out of the box disappears after 4 hours. Nice TV. Kinda envious. :D Although my 77” LG C1 is also awesome.

Lol, just got an 85” Samsung I replaced my 65” Panasonic plasma with. The 85” Samsung is barely bigger because of the plasma’s big borders and weighs way less. Paid the delivery drivers extra money to haul the 65” into the guest bedroom.

@@Meowhsss Yes the Borders on the plasma TV's were insanely big. I much prefer the minimal bezels on new displays. I think my new 77" C1 is around 69 lbs vs 132 one for my old 65" plasma. But, the plasma was metal with a glass screen, whereas the OLEDs are more plastic and minimal metal anywhere making them incredibly lighter in weight. Even my old bedroom 42" plasma was 79 lbs, where my new 55" OLED is around 29 lbs. Less than half as heavy.

Fantastic review as always guys!... BUT after seeing the delivery and installation process of this TV I am more convinced than ever with the idea of a modular screen. I love the idea of myself being able to build a TV in whatever size and aspect ratio I want, and the best thing is that I could increase the size of the screen whenever I wanted. I hope that Samsung and LG don't rule out the idea of bringing modular technology to the home market, I would immediately buy a 120-inch screen in 21:9 format... that's my dream.

The Samsung store near my house has a micro led The Wall TV on display, if you get really close you can see the seems but from a normal viewing distance it looks like a regular TV. I suspect that's the future, more than 100" would be a pain to install.
@Martin_Ramirez.
@Martin_Ramirez. 2 жыл бұрын
@@airixxxx Exact! I think the same. I live in an old building without an elevator and because of that I have always had to make do with relatively small TVs. The current one I have is a 65” OLED and carrying it up the stairs and installing it was a complete headache. On the other hand, how lucky you were to see Samsung's MicroLed first-hand, the idea of joints doesn't bother me, but what about the pixels? Are they too noticeable? I suppose that in my country that technology is going to take a long time to arrive.

The LG 77 nano I bought is no longer showing on Amazon. It has a central stand with a wide U shaped base and it could not be easier to plug and play. So much better than the 55 Sony in the bedroom. I did find the little wheel on the remote easily breaks so I bought 2 more for back up. The sound is excellent though I never needed to go above half volume- in fact the captions are used with no sound (and they don't take up half the screen like the Sony 55). This nano LG can be blinding so I use one setting with low contrast, low brightness, and minimum color. I find in a dim room that's all you need. My biggest apprehension in buying ($1499.00 Amazon w/del) was if the TV would capture a signal with just indoor rabbit ears. Again the LG out performed the Sony with over 150 channels here on the West Coast (I watch English only so I delete about 85). I do it by coupling 2 RCA (#121z) rabbit ears and a small in-line antenna amp. Yes I sold TV'S for a living - but anyone can do this- Free broadcast ultra high definition !

How long until we see a $4,000 MSRP 83" and $8,000 MSRP for 97" G series or equivalent? These prices imo would get the masses purchasing these flagship OLEDS. I didn't just pull these numbers from the sky. I mean looking at where oled price points began and where we are now. I still think we're a few years away from seeing a really good price point for more bulletproof tech. Where the prices are currently I feel there are too many downsides in colorbanding, DSE, low brightness etc. Nobody wants to wait that long to purchase a TV but am certainly looking forward to the day where these issues are a non factor and we can pick up a flagship for a reasonable price. Love the videos B! Been watching for about a year or so now. Great content. Can't wait to see what 2023 brings!

Always like your videos, thank you B. It seems no body goes to vivid with this tv. I have an 83 G2 and vivid to me is just stunning. Every time I try the other modes , yes they are nice , I keep finding myself going back to vivid. It adds much more brightness to the picture without blowing out any of the picture quality. Just the color temp need to be brought down from cool 50 to warm 20’s or so and turn off dynamic contrast from default high and other tweaks of course but that extra brightness remains

I have the big mounting dream full motion mount for my 75 Z9K and it holds it fine and I can tweak it any way I need to to see it better or deal with the cables. I spose you wanted to use all the factory parts though. I certainly don't want to take my monster off the mount again, it was almost as much work as that set and I should have raised the mount a little but it works fine as is. It really looks nice and must be nice to get to play with all the latest toys.

Ive just got this tv had it for a month after seeing ao many highly positive reviews about this tv i was expecting to be mind blown fast forward a month of owning its absolute bang average in my eyes! (Unless you’re watching something in dolby vision 4k hdr it does look good but everything else about this tv is a massive disappointment! The sound whilst its good it lack high end treble and clarity (not everyone wants to buy a sound bar) even playing on xbox 4k hdr it just dont sit well with my eyes im constantly having to adjust picture settings never happy with how it looks! And the fact i cant watch live bbc iplay and live itv player on the tv is beyond embarrassing. After spending £1649 i can sit here next to my old sony kdl50w755c and being honest i would prefer my older sony all day everyday ive seen someone somewhere saying once you buy a sony going to another company wont sit well nothing looks as good. Now i sit here 1649 out of pocket wishing i either spent more and got another sony or kept my old one! 🤷‍♂️

Great comments man , already on 83'' A90J SDR low bit rate content looks very weak due upscalling over 12 times from those bad sources so on 97 '' must be worst than VHS old cassette 😜 Besides banding on this size must be VERY noticeable .Those new big tv's are tailored only for 4K DV/HDR high bit rate sources , even Netflix often does not provide highest quality , just 15 Mb/s is way too small.

I got the C2 to save a bit of money and because I have it on my stand instead of mounting it but I am jealous. The G2 just had that tiny bit of extra pop and brightness. How do you like it so far? I really honestly can't complain about my C2 though. It's really beautiful.

I hope so. I'm quite sick of it as well. But Disney movies aren't necessarily getting better right now ... it's hard to show off HDR with non-animated movies or wide-screen. So we try to do the best we can.

We got a 77inch of this. First one that came had bright lines running down the TV. We exchanged for another one that has literally grids of lines, all be it much fainter all over the TV. The brighter lines seemed to go very faint after having the TV on for a few hours, so we thought, we don't wanna waste anymore time dealing with buying a new TV (an experience that should be a good one). Now I can't help but notice that the top corners put out a large area of pink hue on a nearly black screen. It almost looks like backlight bleed but this is an OLED. Noticed it while changing apps. This QC is not good.

LG 83” C1 here and same experience. First screen was really uneven, plus banding and a solid block down the middle. Eventually LG agreed to replace it. Second screen isn’t as bad but still has banding that I find really noticeable in dark scenes (which are supposed to be an OLEDs strength). It really takes away from my enjoyment of the TV. Not sure if I’m going to fight them for a 3rd screen just to play the OLED lottery again. I suspect they’ll claim it’s within acceptable spec anyway.

I have the 77inch as well. When I got mine, it had white line going down the screen. I figured something was wrong with it. I had my girlfriend call Amazon so that I could send it back and exchange for a new one. While she was on the phone with Amazon I decided to run the pixel cleaner and it fixed the issue. I haven't had any issues with it.

@@StarfireRebirthCM if you have this mentality, where everything must be perfect for you to accept it, you’ll waste your whole life in search of that perfect product that simply doesn’t exist. You’ll miss out on many experiences as you grow old and bitter finally realising on all that you missed out on. As an engineer I can tell you nothing is absolutely perfect. Everything we make is within some tolerance. The more cutting edge a product, the harder it is to make, and the more likely there will be some defect. Different products will have different defects. At some point you have to think to yourself, if the experience is 95% there, and these things aren’t very impacting on your daily experience (in fact I never notice them if I don’t look for them and had forgotten about them), then why waste your time? What would you have done, spent the next few months playing a lottery game with a very expensive product, meanwhile souring your relationship with the seller and manufacturer who might refuse to sell to you in the future? Or would you have returned it and not purchased anything?

It amazes me why most manufacturers suggest lying the tv face down to attach the wall mount. Big scratch risk and unnecessary manoeuvre, when they tend to be stable enough in the box to attach it and lift straight from the box to wall. Another tip always wear vinyl or latex gloves, they give you more grip without having to clamp your hand tightly and no finger/handprints if it doesn't have a screen protector
@BTheInstaller
