I haven't heard of a new antiquity mod in a while but we keep getting new mods set in Medieval periods AND Victorian settings. Does CA really need any more proof that the people want an Empire 2 or Medieval 3 than that? Hey man great video again! Both mods came together cause the original startpos is from the 976 ad mod and the author gave me permission to edit his startpos and make my own version of the mod for a new rome era chapter ( with all rome era chapters addons and scripts of historical accurate wars). Of course AD team also gave me permission to apply their 919 models.

They were released in the same period because red hornet asked the creator of the dark ages mod series to use his last mod (976 AD) in the era chapter series and he said yes.

Ahhhhhhhh I see! That makes total sense. So he essentially combined Dark Ages 976 with the AD 919 mod

Im dying for a Viking Age TW game but on an Age of Charlemagne or Attila map size. So much happened during that age and while many details are foggy due to many factors of the time period its still full of real accountable history like The Houses of Wessex, Carolingian dynasty, and the reconquista. Thrones of Britannia was fun but its far too short of a game and small in size.

It's terrifying. We are even speaking of a period when Leon did not appear yet as a realm in any document 😂 (earliest mention is around ~970). They say Galicia was part of Leon (which was not, neither in the other direction), as well they put "Spain" in the place where there was not Spain, as was Gallaecia in the romano-gothic tradition of the tripartite peninsula (Gallaecia, Hispania and Gothia/Septimania) that was in place until the 12th century. I guess the guy that wrote that "lore" just copy-pasted from any nationalistic pseudoarticle (or Spanish Wikipedia which os bad as hell) or he was himself a Spaniard ultranationalist.

dark ages mod def suffers from the units being very similar to vanilla but the map is nice lookin

why always for attila? Despite NASA PC I always only have 30 fps or less and mods don't make it any better. There is so much modding for Attila but the game has such poor performance I don't understand

100% true! Everything done on the GC campaign on Attila is severely hindered by the performance. Not the same for the mods made on AoC. If one of those mods shown on the video are using units from AoC would it be nice to see if the performance from AoC is also imported as well. If not, it will be really difficult to enjoy the mod.

Uffff, what an historical mess "Kingdom of Spain: Galicia was part of the kingdom of Leon despite preserving a regional identity..." Holy Molly If it was any "kingdom" of "Spain" was the so called Al-Andalus, Galaecia was another different Kingdom (or area depending on when) as the peninsula was divided in 3 major spaces (Gallecia, Hispania and Gothia/Narbonense) coming from a romano-gothic tradition. Galicia and Leon were parts of the Gallaecia but any of them were parts of each other. Neither Galicia part of Leon nor Leon (which didn't even exist in any document by the mod's period) part of Galicia. They were 2 different Kingdom under a single and shared ruler. Idk who the hell wrote the mod "lore" but holly molly. It's terrifying. Ahistorical narratives from the Spaniard nationalists.

@@TheTerminatorGaming It seems to need files from another mod, but when I search said mod, it's not an Attila mod but rather a Rome 2 mod. It needs a texture file but I've been unable to find instructions on how to extract the files correctly, so all the armies are just floating heads when it works, and sometimes it just launches in vanilla. Either way though I just finished moving and don't have access to my PC rn.
