Here's a fun thought, imagine if Rock survived the 2 centuries after Light's death and reappeared in X4 as a playable character. He has half the life energy of X, can't charge maverick weapons, and is 1/2 resistant to enemy fire. When he finds the first light capsule in the web spiders realm, light tells him "Rock I didn't expect you to still be alive, but I will do what I can for you!". The X adaptations are useless, but, lights full mind and skills are at play. Light does give him the only advantage he can give at the moment, the wall cling ability. A heavily useful power. But Rock isn't powerless. He possesses an extremely powerful weapon, the arrow buster from MM8, his most powerful buster. Plus a die hard resolve to rid the world of the evil energy! Why is this relevant? Well because IRis Uses an evil energy core to fight zero, so it wasn't totally destroyed after mm8. Rock has been hunting down all the evil energy after mm8 for 2 centuries, like an ocd ghost. In the end light gives him an enhanced mm7 armor, the ability to utilize heart tanks and a suite of items. In the end Rock wins but is crippled and broken. realizing he can truly no longer compete, he resigns to retirement. Walks way entirely and retires to a fishing village where one day he meets a lovely woman and eventually finds a scientist named ciel who agrees to age him like his human wife and time passes until the newly minted andrew meets megaman Zero 150 years later. Only for X and Rock to finally die and rest at the same time.
