Did you have to reprogram the old ecu into the replacement one? Or a simple swap will do? Thanks

YOUR LEXUS ECU is actually LINKED to your transmission so if your like me you thinking this video doesn't make sense but that why this video WORKS there is another person on KZbin a LEXUS ECU company that breaks down why changing you computer makes sense....I got ECU from Junkyard and got key to it and like video says. SHIT FIXES EVERYTHING P1755 GONE this video was only life line I had THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH!!!!!!!

this is a great video thanks for posting this. I have a 1998 GS300 with a bad ECU. I know this because the immobilizer keeps locking up and preventing the car from starting. I took it to my local shop and they confirmed it's a bad ECU. So, they want to charge me $1200 for a new ECU not to mention $600 labor for installing another one! No way I am doing this. My question is - if I order my own ECU from module mechanics swap it out, the car won't start with my old keys right? I can actually take the key they send me over to my locksmith and have them cut a new one right? I have a guy who will do it for $10 down the street thanks again

I own a 99 LEXUS GS300 and i too got the p1755 code but only for poor electrical circuit , my car drives everywhere only thing is my rpms are slower and so is my shifting im HOPING its just my ECU ,based off of other gs300 i dont think my solenoids are locking or worn out , i took it to a transmission shop and they tried to tell me that i have 3 codes when i do not i only have the p1755 POOR CIRCUIT I feel like there trying to make me do a whole lot to my car they quoted me without even dropping my pan how is that possible when it could just be the ECU my transmission isn't slipping and they also said my fluids are burnt or contaminated the fluid is still its natural color 🤔💯so idk im not trying to waste money on dropping the transmission pan when there's nothing wrong with the transmission itself only poor power or electric circuit all connectors look good and everything leads to new ECU PLEASE COMMENT WHAT YOU THINK

I'm getting the same code. I have a 1999 GS300, but my transmission had a fliud leak due to the gasket failing. I let too much leak out, i felt a couple of hard shifts in 1st gear. After a little driving i turned off the ECT power to normal. 10 minutes later my check engine came on. I went to autozone and the only code is P1755. Since then, i added transmission fluid from Toyota. The car doesn't kick anymore, but the check engine light is still on and my first gear doesn't rev up like yours did in the video to 6000+ rpms. I'm going to try replacing the SLU solenoid and resealing the transmission pan. If that doesn't work, I will then try replacing the ECU. Did you disconnect the battery after replacing the solenoid? Did you ohm out the solenoid to see if it was bad? I have 540,000 miles on my lexus and I have never had a transmission problem. Thanks for posting this video to give me more options to solve this.
@ricerintegra2660

I disconnected my battery when I replaced my solenoid, i didnt test the ohms on it because at the time my volt meter was broken, so i used a 12 volt battery to test to see if it clicks or moves and it still works. I'd fix that leak and test the ohms and see if that solenoid is bad before replacing the solenoid. If the pan has never been dropped before, Toyota uses some weird glue like substance on the trans pan. Make sure to clean it all off, I used a gasket that came with a trans filter I bought off ebay. I'd also recommend replacing that filter while you're in there as well. 98-01 GS300's have the A650E transmission so make sure you look up the correct filter for your lexus which should be A650E since yours is a 99

@@ricerintegra2660 So to update where I'm currently at on my P1755 code on my 99 GS300 A650E transmission. I have tested out all of my solenoids and they are within spec according to the service manual. SLU is 5.6 ohms ... The problem that i have now, is that i broke 4 out of 6 pigtail connectors from my harness that connect to the actual solenoids because they were so brittle. I'm having a tough time finding the 2-way connectors partly because i dont' know the exact name of them. I'm hoping to find some spare parts at a junk yard or transmission store. Hopfeully i wont have to replace the harness. I ordered a new strainer and gasket that should be here by Thursday. Would you say that my next step would then be to replace the ECU. Does the ECU come programmed straight from the website you have listed or do i need to go to the dealer and have them program it? I'm thinking that it is my ECU since i did notice some other funky stuff going on just before this happened. I don't have second gear just like your video shows.
@ricerintegra2660
@ricerintegra2660 3 жыл бұрын
What I did with my pigtail on my harness which i dont recommend doing but I was impatient, I zip tied the connector together, I'd try looking for another harness out of the junk yard or doing as I did. I'd say the next step would be to replace the ECU, it comes pre programmed from the website, all you gotta do is go somewhere to have the key cut to match your current key

@@ricerintegra2660 Just to update. I ordered my ECU from the site you have listed. The ECU should arrive in the next 6 business days. I was sure to match up all the numbers so it should be a perfect match. I also found a small amount of oil when I pulled the right most connector off my ECU. I'll be sure the clean all of that up with alcohol or brake cleaner with a cue-tip before connecting the new ECU. I was able to get the connectors fixed by going to pull a part and taking them off another GS300. I put everything back together and filled it back with the old tranny oil since everything seemed okay with solenoids. I had to add about half a quart of tranny fluid due to me spilling some on the floor. I put in the new strainer and gasket. I'll keep you posted when i get the new ECU. Fingers crossed.

My new ECU came yesterday, I unplugged the battery, installed it and cranked the engine using my old key with the new key fob. IT STARTED AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM. All my gears work, no check engine and my car will now go to higher rpms like your video. Can't say thank you enough for creating this video to help people with this P1755 issue. I saved a ton of money and I actually changed the setting on my transmission to the higher pressure for smoother shifts. Works great. I also put a new gasket and strainer in there. Thanks for all your help again!!!

Can you guys please tell me what diagnostic tool you use to get these error codes? I've got a 98 GS300 and having fallen on hard times, it's been somewhat neglected. Little nik-nak shit mostly but I've had to get the key replaced twice & the battery a few times, never knew things needed to be reset. I figured I had a few bad fuses. But, I haven't had any problems, (save a dead battery from dome light left on), and it runs great! It's got less than 130,000 original miles so it's still a baby.
