I tried listening early this week and I just couldn't. It is just people rumbling about boring topics. I even tuned in to hear that they were going to say about the Celtics beating the 76ers and they didn't even touch on that on the 1st hour.

Fred was hilarious back in the day in Atlanta - I grew up listening to 99X. Then I moved to Boston and heard him doing sports here and was completely confused ... he's like, not much of a sports guy from what I can tell.

They were basically Opie and Anthony clones that got forced into doing sports due to a format change from rock to sports talk. If they were in Boston 5 years earlier, they would have followed Opie and Anthony to XM and gone that route

Rich is Opie. He's a glorified producer. When Fred was out, the show was unlistenable. When Rich is out, the show is either the same or funnier because Rich would steer the ship into a shitty bit like fart court instead of letting Fred riff
