This all falls on Wolf and Mayo! Let’s revisit the offseason, Klint Kubiak came in for an interview for the offensive coordinator position and never got offered the job instead Wolf decided on Alex Van Pelt who’s been more of a quarterbacks coach than an offensive coordinator throughout his tenure as a coach. Klint Kubiak on the other hand has made subpar QB’s look amazing (example) in 2020, Cousins passed for 4,265 yards with 35 touchdowns, a 67.6 completion percentage and 105.0 passer rating. Kubiak has the Saints offensive rolling in 2 games and has rejuvenated Carrs passing game while beating their opponents (W) 47-10 and (W) 44-19 compared to Alex Van Pelt’s (W) 16-10 and (L) 20-23. Klint Kubiak has had success with every QB he’s coached and has made them better yet Alex Van Pelt has been the opposite of what Kubiak has done. I was really excited when Kubiak interviewed and thought he was going to be the Patriots next offensive coordinator, but they went with Alex Van Pelt. The numbers don’t lie, in 2018, Case Keenum threw for 18 touchdowns and a career-high 3,890 yards under Kubiak while in Denver and let’s not forget what he did with QB Purdy in San Francisco. He would have been perfect for Drake Maye and the Patriots, but instead we got a journeyman QB’s coach to go along with a Journeyman QB.

Be good to Brissett, class act and a quality NFL backup - can give you some good play. A better line and WR's and Jones would still be here ya know - a better line and Brissett isn't visibly in pain after getting mushed in the dirt for 10th time.
@barry7920Ай бұрын
You're absolutely right - Brissett isn't the GOAT at QB, but I think he's playing well under the circumstances - which are that the pass protection absolutely stinks and the receivers are mediocre. The QB still needs good team-mates, he can't do everything himself. And you're also right that Jones faced the same challenges, and 90% of the fans blamed everything on Jones too - it's like they're blind to the other players.

Problem is management let him down in not providing a decent O-line to protect him. The Run blocking is good, real good, but the pass blocking....a nightmare!! I mean, we're at the point that "Chuckles" Orakofor has left the team, the guy who was picked up to man the LT spot!!! He literally quit on the team!!! This mess all falls on Eliott Wolf's shoulders and to a much lesser extent on Mayo's. I really feel bad for Jacoby who will probably end up getting hurt at this rate.
