Now I understand why Ste hit Brendan with the bat. All this time I thought it was about Brendan killing Danny but it wasn't. It was about Brendan not telling him about Vinny. We know how possessive and jealous Ste is over Brendan when it comes to Brendan with other guys. He didn't care that Brendan killed Danny. He was thinking omg wow so he really did this out of love for me (hence the flashbacks as he walked up the stairs) but then hearing that Brendan did this because of Vinny he was thinking so he doesn't love me this was out of guilt and Ste can't accept that. Ste could never accept the thought that Brendan didn't love him like he loved Brendan and then when he went home he let Amy manipulate him into thinking that he wasn't a man and that he needed to take the power back so with all these feelings mixed in that's why he hit Brendan with the bat.

No! Amy is great! She really is! She loves Ste and she's just trying to protect him. That's noble, especially considering how scared she was of Brendan in the first place... And she is speaking from experience as Ste used to abuse her too... She ' s genuinely good. She only forgets that Brendan is not Ste and that Ste is not her: the dynamic of Ste and brendan relationship is pretty different from the one she had with Ste, plus she ' s missing on some parts and Ste never told her how much he loves Brendan neither does she know how Ste used to chase after him. Knowing what she knows, she's giving her best advices...

I like Amy, even if her pattern of speech grates on my nerves at times, but I hate how she, like Brendan and Rae and everyone else in Ste's life, manipulates him into doing what SHE thinks he should do. Granted, she rightly encouraged him to report Brendan to the authorities, which is what he should've been doing all along, but the mistake she made was not taking into consideration WHO Ste is. She said it herself in a previous ep: Ste shouldn't expect violence in every relationship he has with a man. YET, those are the only examples he has. Between his abusive dad(?) and Brendan, men who he respected, admired and craved love from despite what they did to him, and Amy's indirect challenge to his manhood, it's no wonder his solution, and choice of redemption as he sees it, is a violent one

I LOVED STE'S SCENE; why is everyone complaining?! x) I think I'm gonna enjoy Ste getting back at Brendan and Brendan realizing that his lover's not the wimp he thought he was and slowly realizing that he needs to get his act straight because it's seriously driving Ste crazy. I kind of love that Warren didn't say anything ...just watched. I like the show hasn't forgot the damage Ste has from his childhood, I mean anyone who's watched the show before when he was hitting Amy knows he's a little off too. Can't predict how this will go but I'm interested! Thanks for posting this and all other vids, they really do brighten my day...which is weird because they're not exactly cheery a lot of this stuff, but I loves it anyway.

I think Ste tried to kill Brendan for many reasons, Brendan emotionally and physically abused him all these months, Brendan killing someone, finally telling Ste howhe feels but only in the context of justifying murder, his pain and jealousy about Brendan's ex-boyfriends, but mostly he feels trapped because he loves Brendan and thought the only way to be free of him was for him to die......

Broxy are always fun and as for the hit, well, HO writers totally lost me on that one, didn't see the point at all. Looks like they didn't know how to keep Brendan and Ste apart in order to move on with the plot and didn't want to resort to another one "Me and you are over", "This was your last chance with me" routine. The hit was not straight to the head or as strong as it could have been. If Brendan died there'd be a murder investigation and Ste would go to prison.
