99 XCR 700 Burning some gas on the lake Jan 26 2025

Took advantage the little snow we had left on the lake for a few hours. Mike brought out his XC 850 137 for the afternoon while I was on the good old 700. Hoping for some snow in the futre so i can get some actual trail

Round almond 10-62s silver blue r12 2nd or 3rd hole, needles 2nd clip from top, 420 or 430mains black slides, proper belt deflection and 8150 rpm. Htg pipes hot seat heads or slp, and a good port job probably pull 10-64s Biggest trick is getting them to hookup and pull like a bear.

Tom, how would this compete vs the XC 700..a real snow burner?

@@calcobb442 Probably not much for competition as the XCR is not studded. The XC has 96 1.375” studs. Stock for stock the XCR has the upper hand as it was rated for a lot more HP
