Hindolam.being an n audava/owdava ragam meaning pentatonic scale..ie. five note scale! It is a janya rāgam (derived scale), as it does not have all the seven swaras. many expoents in Carnatic Music hold differences of opinion on the janaka ragams that should be attributed to Hindolam. Natabhairavi, is the commonly accepted as the said parent ragam (20th melakarta) but few would like to associate it with 'hanumatodi' (8th melakarta). Jayashree's presentation is as sweet as honey !!! just adhered to the the traditional raga exposition despite no ragalapana was rendered. Kalpanaswarams were in slow and predictable rhythmical structure and did build up melodic and rhythmic passage so inclusively. Excellent rendition..best wishes

Bombay jayasri gru we r observing u concerts audios listening live concerts since 1993 onwards in diff sabhas. U r voice same as we heared. More melodic its becoming. Pleasure in listening and enjoying. Never compromise in the aspects of sruthi . Choose ur comforable sruthi. Some recordings we heared more pithch they kept than ur regular. Even in jugalbandees too. Some may do these gimmicks. Dont get into it. I wonder for ur same balance, involvement to share ur ganamrtha amaging. We met lalgudi vjlaxmi, krishnan for ur concert in the music academy.
