I agree 100%. Low displacement turbo engines have oil dilution problems and wear out faster than naturally aspirated engines and CVT transmissions are cheap alternatives to traditional automatic transmissions that wear out faster and are not as rugged as a regular automatic. They also take all the joy out of driving and make you feel like you’re driving a vacuum cleaner. 😡

I own this exact car, color, interior and Aspec Premium trim. It’s a great car at a great price. I actually don’t think the interior is outdated as much as people think. Before this, I had a 2012 Acura TSX 2.4 with basically the same engine. The interior was slightly better quality in the TSX with certain touch points. The only downside to the ILX is that you really need to put at least 91 gas in it. I put 93 because the majority of gas stations don’t carry 91, only WaWa here in Florida. I tried 87 regular many times and the engine is just sluggish and sounds louder. The acceleration also suffers a lot. I haven’t noticed any better mpg’s using 93 though. Anyways, I love the car. I feel it’s an upgrade from my 2012 TSX that I put 233k miles on and it was still running strong and NO lights on the dash. It didn’t even eat a drop of oil between changes. Acura should have kept the ILX nameplate instead of Integra so that the names aligned correctly with the entire lineup. And they should have kept the 8-DCT and attached it to the 1.5T. CVT’s are horrible and boring and they are prone to failure.
@Iegend172 жыл бұрын
Wow 233k that’s crazy. I think for the gas 91 and above is required on acura. My Honda Accord 2.0t premium was recommend but not required. ILX is a great car and I love. I love Hondas and yes they messed with the integra putting a cvt in it. I honestly thought acura would put the 8 speed dct or the 10 speed. I wish Honda comes out with a 10 speed DCT. that would be awesome. My accord has the 10 speed and I loved. Hahaha Wawa is great I have seen it in Florida when I went there for vacation. I drove my tesla there and there is just a tesla charging station in almost every Wawa I went to

I can definitely attest to the longevity of a 2nd gen TSX. I have a 2010 model, 2.4L Tech Package, that's currently showing 231k & change, also without a single warning light shining on the dash. does your 2022 ilx make vibrations at 80 mph
@tomdolgin54412 жыл бұрын
@@noorsaleh1220 No, I do not have vibrations at 80mph, nor at any speed. I’m assuming yours is, so I would take it to the dealer and have them balance the tires and do an alignment. If your ILX was sitting on the lot for a few months or even weeks and wasn’t moved around much, the tires can get “flat spots” in them and at certain speeds will vibrate the car. Only driving 1,500 miles or so will smooth them out and make the flat spots go away. Also, having too low of tire pressure or one tire that’s just a bit higher or lower than the others will cause a vibration too. Where exactly are you feeling this vibration? In the steering wheel or is the body of the car shaking?
