This game is from 2021, tf2 is from 2007, and his banjo taunt came out a few years later. Sam and Max have had several crossovers with tf2, with the engineer's wrench and dispenser appearing as usable items in a sam and max game, and both of their guns, sam's hat, and max's head being found in tf2.

I got this game back in February and it was really fun to play, even with Max insulting me the entire time lol. I accidentally glitched out of the map a fun times which made the experience funnier as well as when the game glitched and I had to play the store level twice. Next to that during the first part when Sasha gave me the gauntlet it literally shrunk-

I love this game, and the bugs are rather funny. I've fallen out of the map, I've had item's that I was holding shrink out of nowhere, I got teleported on both Sam and Max a few times. I've seen Max teleport around, which I feel like would be in character for him.

I must express a bit of disappointment for them not following the continuity that the telltale games had. Like I think the world building the telltale games had done is good. I think these games aren’t canon anyway but I would like more nods to the telltale games and hit the road. The telltale characters just feel right with Sam and max and helped to solidify the world they live in. When this released I was excited to see a new Sam and max game but disappointed to see them not follow up on the telltale series. Looking back on season 3 it felt like a conclusion but open ended enough to continue. Well the remake of season 3 came out not too long ago which gives me hope for a new point and click game
