I got $40 this morning. I am a newbie and started with like $350 about 2 months ago learned a couple hard lessons with my biggest loss at $150 but I made that up in other trades...but that was a hard lesson to learn..lol got caught in a reverse stock split while my shares were already dropping and that just buried it..I was furious..share went from pennies to like $4.00 so and with the conversion after converting my shares were bought at $10 basically and there was no way the share price would ever go there and it stuck for over a month around $4

I experience this as well, and im learning its because for me atleast i see the move. It meets the criteria but im not buying the pullback im just buying into the move and then drops. So im learning if i see it moving i try to wait for that next pull back and wait for the setup/confirmation before i buy into it and its helping my accuracy alot

Hey Ross I’ve got a question. A lot of times when I look up small prices stocks they are completely untrackable on the lower timeframes because of gaps. It looks dotted and staggered and I haven’t check on bid/ask spreads but I’m sure they’re wide. i understand momo better this week. i bought $serv in pre-market thinking it would go up. it started chopping out, so i sold at a loss. it rips 10-15 minutes later. *if* i had waited for volume and movement instead of anticipating in the pre-market, i would've made bank today. if the stock isn't moving, don't buy it if you want to momo. when i buy on momentum, i win. predicting chop outs and gradual declines is such a bitch. that's why momo wins.🚀💰

I managed to finish red today😢. My successful trades were smaller size, then I kept my loser for too ling hoping for rebound and it was the first and second gainer at some point. Then when the SERVE popped ip I thought what’s the point, missed it. Then watched it roll up and down and finally I deposited small amount to trade it. While finished depositing and bought, it stalled and went down soon. I sold to later see it had gained another peak. I feel like the dumbest dumb day trader whatever out there. I was so depressed. It was a medium red day but finished my week small red 😢. Last week was green.

I’ve been in your shoes before. Make sure you are cutting your losses early. Don’t hold onto losing trades hoping they will come back into the green. Set stop losses with a minimum of 2:1 potential profit to risk ratio. $250 is too much risk on a $3000 account for one trade. Try to aim for $100-200 winning trades and $50-$100 losing trades.
