Funny story regarding that Lumbridge diary you did: A few years ago when I started playing RS3 (pls no hate) for the first time since EOC I wanted to be able to use fairy rings without a staff, like you. I knew that on OSRS you did that by doing elite Lumbridge/Draynor diaries, and so I did all the tasks from easy to elite back to back in one sitting, only to realize it didn't give that reward. Turns out there's just a third Fairy Tale quest in RS3 which unlocks it. To this day that's the only elite diary I've ever completed.

I feel the same way I came back go rs after a break and opted for osrs verses rs3 and I'm grinding my ass out in fun ways to complete all the quests. Osrs quests have way better rewards than rs3 and with runelite I feel zero pressure and stress to grind stupid fast to make up time invested. Even my buddy got his account booted back up so we might have enough for a clan

The last tidbit of info is what moer players need to hear. If you're not enjoying the game, just dont play it. Excitement or enjoyment cant be forced. I took a month and a half or so away from OSRS while I focused on life priorities. After coming back and setting goals I feel refreshed. Shit, I just got my barrows portal and KC rolling in, and every run I feel like I learn something about either optimization, or how game mechanics work; the game is exciting and fun again!
