DISC's 9th Annual Distinguished Lecture featuring Motaz Azaiza, renowned Palestinian photojournalist

Motaz Azaiza, born in 1999 in Gaza, is an award-winning Palestinian photojournalist. His images have garnered global recognition during the latest phase of the conflict in Gaza, shedding light on the hardships endured by Palestinians. In 2023, one of Motaz's photos secured a spot in TIME magazine's Top 10 Photos, a testament to the power of visual storytelling and the importance of sharing narratives that capture the struggle for human rights.
