When I was a kid, my mother took us to the school carnival for Halloween night and left our dad to take care of the trick or treaters at the door. He didn't last long because one of his first customers grabbed the whole bucket of candy and ran into the dark!

The last few years we haven't had any trick or treaters. So many churches having trunk or treats and nursing facilities let them go door to door in the building and it is fun for residents and kids.

We get over 200 kids those bags are too small but good size for grandsons .Special neighbor kids get a DT toy plus candy A teenage friend she get makeup nailpolish all Halloween related plus cool socks and candy. Of course candy corn for my 44 yr old son . We take candy to the wakeboard park to share too. Yes I'm that crazy grandma every holiday Love it its me

I make treat bags, this year I think is probably one of my best. Each bag has a full size candy bar and probably another 4 pieces of candy. I also include different little toys and stickers. I made 135 this year and will probably give them all out and then candy after those are gone. I look forward to this video every year. ❤

I typically do a mix of candy and small toys/plastic rings/bookmarks. It is so fun to see the kids’ faces when they realize they are getting something different, and they usually seem as excited for that as for the candy 😊. Good haul - hope I find that cotton candy!

We have a small Halloween party for our extended family so we buy a few types of candy. I buy the big individual ones to hand out, but then I buy each of my nieces and nephews their own little bag of their favorite candies...so, showing both types that they carry helps! :)

For years, I give out chocolate treats including Twix and various varieties of Kit Kats. There are some years that I also add 3 Musketeers and Sour Patch Kids. I never give out anything with peanuts, due to so many allergies. In my house, we are big fans of the Krabby Patty gummies. I just sent my college age daughter a pack in her latest care package!

The last time I gave out candy was 4 yrs ago. We did cow tails from Sam's club. They were a hit. Also, my mom and step dad did it with me their contribution was beer and mini wine. So the adults could trick or treat too

When I was a kid (a hundred years ago), my mother would make popcorn balls to hand out. They were really good, and the kids would always be excited to get to our house every year. Then she had to quit when people got afraid of items that weren’t prepackaged. I guess it’s tradition, but we love this video!

When I was a kid, my friend and I trick n' treated in her apartment building (17 floors) and got lots of candy. (Good Times). When it comes to candy, variety is good. just through bags of candy in a large bowl for the kids to pick out!

I went to dollar tree yesterday and stocked up some candy. I wish they would have had the suckers, those are cute. We live in the country so we don’t get any kids, but I am doing my first trunk or treat this year. The one I am doing they charge to get in and the proceeds go to a farm therapy program for kids (they are estimating 800 kids this year!) So I have some age appropriate toys, Oreo pkgs, cracker pkgs and candy in case any little ones or ones that have diet restrictions have something. Weather not looking good but I am praying it changes.

I love buying candy from the DT, like you use too when you would stock the media room. You never know when you want to snack, or someone shows up to offer them. Great choices. i have not found any of the suckers yet, but will look out for those. Too cute to pass up.

When I was young, we got caramel apples,, homemade,, & we had a house that gave out a hot dog in a bun, wrapped in tinfoil to keep it warm, & a cup of hot chocolate to go with it.
