I came back onto the video and realized that you had the O2 sensor defouler on the wrong O2 sensor. It should be for the secondary O2 sensor, the one on the front pipe that’s right before the 2nd cat. I added an extra O2 sensor extension to the 90-degree defouler that it already came with, and this solved the CEL issue, even without having to install KTuner.

Definitely! I would recommend adding resonators for sure. Depending on your catback system it might be loud or what not but with my Borla axle back it’s not too loud if I had my resonators and stock headers/downpipe.

Gabe Benett great! Do you have advice on what to start with? I’ve heard you need to get a down pipe with catback or engine light will come on. I also heard I should get a cold air intake filter before anything else? Any tips or suggestions on what I need/should get in order or first?

@@dbanddz you can definitely upgrade your intake but that’s one of the last things I did but thats just my preference. I suggest get a muffler system either axle back or catback but axle back will be quieter. If you can find a good deal on a catted downpipe that will be better. I had the cat less downpipe and even w the defouler the check engine light went on. I just bypass it on the ktuner.

I got the poops for $50 just had a shop remove the resonator. When in sport mode 1, 2, and sometimes 3rd gives me poops on the over run, I just push the gas a tad

Hey it’s actually a universal one from eBay. The same list is expired when I checked but any of those style on eBay would work. You’ll just have to make it fit with a little modification

We should run it haha I have the same car in the pre-facelift model. Custom tune on KTuner as well, to run E10 fuel with an FBO setup. I have a “custom” header that I ported myself and then gutted, and it’s made quite a bit of gains in the very high top end range, more than what you could possibly get, even on a normal FBO setup. I was running a used TWM short shifter kit with the upgraded shifter cable bushings. but it had issues with shifting, so I swapped everything back to OEM. Also has the CDV deleted and I’m looking to install a stainless steel clutch line soon, just to see if it will help the pedal feel. The engagement point is super low and it’s the only thing I hate. KTuner helped get rid of some of the rev hang, but it’s impossible to get rid of.

isnowyazn man that’s a lot of work 🤙🏽 I parted some of my exhaust parts and other cosmetic parts, thinking bout going a different direction with the build but we shall see. Times been crazy and havnt had the chance to do anything much on the build. Thanks for the info man I was looking for a short shifter but the feel on the OEM set up feels good to me haha 😂

Gabe Benett Do you have an IG or something I can hit you up on? I was going to install coilovers, but decided to pass on it cause I’m not comfortable with driving them daily. Tein Tech S lowering springs are good enough, but I might need adjustable rear camber arms because I have some negative camber naturally. Aside from that, I just bought some Acura RL Relic front calipers, and I’m gonna get the mounting bracket kit from HeelToe Auto. I need the SS lines for that as well. That’s about it and I don’t plan on turbocharging the car because the gearbox sucks. I change my manual transmission fluid with every motor oil change, just to be safe.

Hey man thanks! Unfortunately I no longer have the car and the tune map. There’s some videos out there that shows what ranges to mess with that has something to do with the fuel injectors. The numbers I recommend range from -10 to -25 at most for the pop tune. Hope that helps

The only time check engine came up was when the downpipe was installed even w the bypass valve for the o2 sensor. I was able to disable it w the ktuner afterwards.

On the kseries website it details what kinda of regulation the parts are good for if it’s legal or not legal on a particular state. I’m not too sure but to be safe I would just throw in the stock headers and that’ll be sufficient since the o2 sensor defouler doesn’t eliminate the check engine. Hope that helps

You can also get an intake and downpipe. Look into the ktuner. Optional is the resonator delete if u want it really loud

Well with the downpipe it removes the catted headers so it will pop the light in the display but you can bypass it on the ktuner

In my set up there’s little drone inside the car. Depending on your Muffler you may or may not have drone. With the Borla axle back it helps alleviate some of the drone I previously had when I had n1 custom exhaust

All from eBay. Side skirt was a universal 3 piece and the diffuser was also a universal one. I had to modify to install.
