Those El Doggs were a masterpiece and glad to see it getting detailed. 9000 miles Granny must have only driven to the Beauty Shop and Grocery store.

I remember those days! When land yachts dominated our highways and byways! My aunt had a 75 or 76 Mercury Marquis and that thing was freakin' HUGE! And the doors were like bank vaults when they closed. Big, giant, heavy cars were the order of the day in the years before mini-vans and SUV's!

I had this same spec car only a 1975 which i liked better because of the one year only interior that had a detachable armrest! I was all of 21yrs of age in 1978 when i owned my second Eldorado convertible! That car got more action than a bookie during Superbowl week! The ride and the torque were incredible not only did it transport you down the road, but it took you places only seen by a rare few! The car was stolen and to this day I STILL MISS IT! FLOAT ON EL D.

I would think that I would clean the top first before working on the body. I would also think it would be easier to remove the seats in order to do a deep cleaning of the interior.

This is total bull$hit. I detailed cars for years, this car is was already clean, the brakes had very light surface rust. The paint had no real damage on it. A light buff and coat of wax would make it look awesome. Interior was also very clean. What a waste of time.
@matthewsiegel6307Күн бұрын
Dear Hoosier, You are spot on! This car was on essentially impeccable condition-and anyone with a good paste wax and leather cleaner could have done just as good a job!

one of the last real Cadillacs. Today Cadillac only produces BS. sad.
@timkinley17792 күн бұрын
Really? I've been in a few V-series and that statement is far from the truth. If they had had the technology and advancements we have now, they would have used it. Because we can absolutely build that car right now but don't.
@theobserver13202 күн бұрын
@ For me personally, it's less about the technology than about the styling. I just love the American cars from the 60s to the mid-70s. Of course, today's technology is better, but the styling isn't. In my opinion.
@hurricane264911 сағат бұрын
@@timkinley1779 Sorry to strongly disagree. There is NO WAY automakers could afford to build a car like that today. I also own Kansas City Auto Electric and all of these technological advancements keep me very, very busy. I specialize in classic cars, and when they rarely come in for electrical trouble, it is a 15-minute fix. When a modern car comes in, it takes many hours, and the bill normally is in the thousands, mostly due to the cost of parts that you can't get anyway.
