I'm not sure if anyone has yet commented on the context/setting of the song. (Didn't see anything in the top yet). There is something much deeper than a dream going on. This movie is a psychological thriller and one of the finest in Malayalam cinema that has been remade into several other Indian languages. The woman who is dancing is under the impression that she is/has been possessed by a Tamil dancer from several years ago. The Tamil dancer and her lover were dancers in the court of a powerful man who owned the house they showed. This is why it shows her imagining or hallucinating that she was still in the court performing. She also believed that the man who came in later is her long lost lover, who was actually killed by that powerful rich dude long back. That is why the video switches between her hallucination where she is happily dancing with her lover and the reality where the man is tasked with bringing her outside so they could carry out their plan to try and help/cure her.

The movie is on mutliple personality disorder Here Ganga..who had traumatic events in her childhood had extreme brokeness inside her ,She was moved by tragic story of "Nagavalli" folklore aka the royal dancer whose lover was killed by the king & she was burnt alive .she realised similarities in tragic events in this fictional character & her life and felt very empathetic towards her. and thus her mind created this another personality of her behaving like Nagavalli to seek justice for her in real life. Here in video she dances awakwardly/not so perfectly in reality but absolutely slays in her imagination(in her schizophrenic state) She is sad,ecstatic,desperate ,broken,longing all in her dance if you look carefully Amazing movie
