Hmm, you can switch between wide and zoom only manually? Or is it possible to set it up, so that it tracks humans and uses zoom lens automatically if subject is further away? If it's only manually, isn't it kina pointless? I mean, who monitors their cameras 24/7?

Thanks for this vid! Please what type (ssd or hdd) and size of the disk would you recommend for this setup? I'm a newbie in this cctv profession and i'm thinking about two maybe 3 cameras for my house, also i read that some people use dual-LAN port motherboards for some security reason for their cctv setup, is it a better option?

You dont need an SSD thats for sure. There are HDDs that you can buy for CCTV usage like the WD purple. In terms of the dual lan, depends what the requirement is.

What rj45 standard are u using to conect the camera to a poe nvr ??? Without using the dc adaptor ?

The NVR has POE ports on the back of it, and the camera can be powered via POE so it’s a cat5/cat6 cable

@LaUltimaEsperanza the NVR is powered with a separate cable, you can’t just use 1 cable to power the NVR and the camera.

TP-Link has a line of network video recorders, with "power over Ethernet, aka POE, and non POE. I think it will be a cleaner and future proof build, if you will power your cameras using the Ethernet cable, aka POE. It is cleaner, and versatile way of powering up your cameras, noob here so that's what I think..

Yes but you still need to get a network cable to it and youll need a 12v power supply.

The TP-Link Tapo C325WB are excellent and way better than anything Nest does, f1.0 lens and a large 1/1.79" sensor, amazing for the price. I have now gone fully Tp-Link.

not bad but it doesnt tell much. at this distance its overkill and way too expensive. woulda been nice to see the street and cars if you can make out numberplates or even some number on it. i have 60m long elongated garden w fence to the street and problematic neigbors. so i would try to scan at least half of that along the outside for damage to my shrubs, putting down garbage or parking on the maintained grass outside my fence. im not really stoked by the daytime quality whys that so pixelated?

I feel Hikvision's FHD clarity is better than TPLink Vigi. I have used Hikvision FHD cams and also have 2 Vigi cams, and the clarity is a little less on these cams
