Both at fault think he got confused by the lane positioning of the police car copper could have backed off sooner obviously didn't see the Clio driver indicating right.

I'm not sure how people don't realise if the police officer had braked it could have caused a worse crash - i.e. there could have been a driver behind him that would've gone into the back of them or he himself would have gone straight into the back of the Clio. Instead the officer managed to get out partially in front of the Clio and didn't end up getting trapped between the barrier. The driver should have been attentive and not gone into the right lane especially when they had sirens and lights on

A car behind him would've had to be going the same speed as the officer responding with lights and sirens in order to rear end him if he braked hard. The driver clearly didn't learn that checking his mirror is not enough to change lanes. You have to look over your shoulder at the blind spot before moving over.

That fella driving on his rims, needs to back to engineering school, as no car is safe with only three bolts holding the tire on. I found out quickly, as some idiot tried to cut my lock nuts off. I had just come off the highway, and something didn't sound right. I turned right to go to my repair shop, and my right front tire flew off my car, and it landed up against a glass building. A kind person stopped, and asked if I needed help, and they drove me to the shop. They asked were my car was. I pointed to the top of the hill. He fixed my car while I was at work. I honestly dont understand if there's a traffic collision why do people just sit in there cars and only part a way when emergency service comes through wouldn't it be better if cars made a gap so they can get through to the scene quicker instead of waiting for people to move

That's actually the law in some countries, including Germany. Whenever there's a traffic jam on a motorway or dual carriageway, you have to open a corridor in case emergency vehicles have to come through. As a fire fighter, I regularly use this corridor, and if done correctly, it's a huge time saver. Especially lorries with their trailers have a hard time moving over and creating a gap wide enough for us once traffic has come to a standstill. So doing it as soon as you approach a traffic jam when you are still mobile and can maneuver is a great option. However, it's taken years of enforcement and public service campaigns to get compliance to the level we're at now, and a lot of people still aren't getting it.

I’m not saying driving with bad tyres is a good idea but his story is quite believable I can imagine having todo the same myself at a slow and steady speed if my home was only up the road and I didn’t care about damaging the wheels, and the fact he drive at 15mph he was aware not to speed because he didn’t want to cause an accident. I have to agree it’s not the smartest idea but it’s probably better than sitting waiting for recovery for 3 hours to take you a mile up the road 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe because the "BOY" disregarded a police vehicle with lights and sirens activated and didn't make sure the lane he was turning into wasn't occupied. If you look at where the police vehicle was hit it will show that it had already begun to pass the Renault before it was turned in by the uninsured driver who shouldn't have been driving anyway!

A) Boy was uninsured/thief (so by default, a c**t), B) Boy had no reason to move into Lane 2, just typical incompetence, C) I suspect the Officer was concentrating far further up the road assuming that point B would come into effect so was clear to carry on.
