Right to Delivery of Public Services provides for time bound delivery of services for various public services rendered by the Government to citizen.
But different state laws in India are mostly inadequate in nature.
It is for these reasons that a Model Law is required. It should guarantee timely public services, establish mechanisms to rationalize & reduce documents needed etc
To address the above mentioned issue, Centre for Civil Society-a public policy think tank in Delhi proposes a Model Public Services Delivery Act. You can read more about the Act here- ccs.in/model-public-services-delivery-act
