I'd agree with your truck vibration talk! When my 17 went to Mexico I decided to put the heat shield back on the engine. With only 2 bolts holding it on it made a ton of vibrations in the cab. That's no longer attached to the engine either now lol

Nice!! I just did the Banks Intercooler Pipes and 3.5 Monster Ram Intake on my 2017 Ram 2500. What a difference!! Although i noticed my truck shakes more now at idle so CTT is gonna customize tune to idle my truck at 750 rpm's instead of 700 since it seems to run smoother above 730 rpm's. Great video as always and your trucks are awesome!

Greg, there's a nice open cavity under your steering column for stashing your EZLynk box. Get a few pieces of velcro and it'll be out of your way but still easy to retrieve if you ever need it. Also, does you toll pass transponder work well in that upper tray? Mine keeps falling off the windshield on hot days.

Hopefully you’re planning to step up to bigger injectors because those turbos will drive better, (even at low RPM and light throttle). It will also lower your EGT’s at light throttle / low RPM. The blanket(s) will also help. I know from experience. Compounds don’t love stock fuel, even with a good tune.

But I am still impressed with how well it drove and how you’re doing it in stages and as always, you’re planning it all out awesome!! If those turbos are that responsive (very little lag it seems), they will be amazing with more fuel to drive them. I know it’s the tow rig and you’re not aiming for peak power but you still gotta drive those things to get peak efficiency at highway cruising while towing the big loads. ;) I love your channel greatly!

Greg you should take that coolant fitting out of the head (that goes to the heater core). I installed a 5/8 hose barb in place of it. It’s a very small opening.

Can't do a turbo brake like the newer trucks because you don't have a VGT turbo. You would need to to add an actual exhaust brake or pacbrake that shuts exhaust valves.

@@Steve_I yeah i'm clueless. the only word i even recognize there is turbo. when i say i'm a NEWB to diesel i mean fresh on the farm kinda newb.i know they are powerful, i know they run diesel fuel and take about 4 times as much oil for oil changes and they can pull a 5th wheel trailer with the ball that's in the bed that's pretty much all i know in a nut shell. oh that and that Dodge doesn't make many parts for these any more because of their age.

I have a revmax and the 3/4 is the worst shift in the entire range, if I could get that figured out I would have no complaints, the trans is trying to do so many things in that area with the lock, unlock, lock, then shift to 4th.

Hey Gregg, is the cheetah turbo a direct replacement for the factory turbo? Ie: just bolt on, same place... If so, does it have any benefit's? I don't recall seeing a video of you swapping out the factory turbo..

Yes its factory plug and play. It spools slightly faster and can support more power if you wanna run a bigger tune then the stock turbo can handle usually about 100 hp more

Can someone tell me a good chip system and exhaust for a 2014 2500 Dodge Ram Cummins? 6.7L Nothing crazy that’s gonna be bad on the transmission but something fairly good.

Most tuners will give you the same power options so go with whatever one you want but I highly recommend a tuner that you can get custom tuned and get custom tunes even if your truck is only stock they are better then the cookie cutter tunes. As far as exhaust Banks,MBRP, Flo~Pro are some good names. I will warn you to keep your tunes low and your foot out of it as much as you can because the stock tranny doesn't take much abuse even on a 100% stock truck
