The notches in your compressor wheel are from balancing... some shops take material off the back of the wheel while others notch the wheel. All has to do with distance from the axis as to how much material they take out so the farther away from the centerline the less material they will have to take out so they can get away with putting tiny notches in the wheel.

.88 A/R non-divided housing is probably the lagiest housing to use on an S300 - I'm surprised PDD recommended it. You'd also need a gated housing, or get a gated manifold if you do compounds in the future.

Setting up the 1st Gen with a box turbo makes sense to set a base line, and really like the idea of considering a compound turbo setup. Agree totally with your thought process to see what works best. Thanks for the update.

GregA thanks for showing how to get the maximum horsepower out of a first gen with a VE pump. Everyone understandably switches to P Pump and there is ton of information out there about P Pump but not much information out there on how to get max hp out of the VE pump. It will be interesting to see the dyno numbers from VE vs P Pump. Are you going to do AFC Live on the first gen?

Same turbo I run freakin love it. Not sure about a 1st gen but on my 2nd gen I had to buy a different compressor cover to keep the V band clamp bc the intercooler pipe didn’t reach the cover.

Ya idk why you would remove just the compressor housing to install it? Its not like it weighs that much and also allows for possible damage to the compressor wheel. I just left the bolts loose on mine just enough to clock the cover to match up with my ic pipe

Hey Greg, great videos I really enjoy watching.. Wanted to ask about your air bags... I assume you have no issues with having overload and spacer blocks removed? Are they the bags with the internal bump stop? Do you run them at 5psi when not pulling the trailer? Do they change the ride quality when unloaded?

MrJoliver33 bags can be run deflated and your suspension will be your “bumpstop” in this situation and you run pressure when loaded that allows the truck to sit right when loaded, I’ve run any where from 30lbs up to 100lbs depending on how much and where the load is distributed and I assume he’ll be higher because I still have all the springs on my shit so I can throw 800lbs in the bed and she barely moves as for ride quality, when unloaded, it affects nothing because it is aired down...always ran mine with just a couple of pounds to keep it from jiggling around when not pulling!

First gens are like fit, sexy middle aged women. Still have the rocking body (If taken care of) but the internals (drivetrain, not to mention the suspension, seats, etc) are past there day. Besides powder coat isn't that great. I'd take a nice high quality paint over it any day.
