Josh,great set up you got there,putting a 14 on the front with the 44 would give you the same ratio as 15/47 instead of changing rear sprocket

Great set up there mate, just being picky here but you can keep the stock countershaft sprocket cover you just need to purchase the s model case saver to make it work. Keep up the great work, looking forward to the vids coming up.

Wow..That is love and dedication right there. I’m thinking of selling my 2022 Drz400e and getting a Himi 450 or an MT moto450,but find it hard to part with the drz. The reason I’m changing is the height,I’m 173 cm and find it a bit to tall when I’m in sand or mud and really tough places where I need to ‘paddle’. I know there are different bones to use on the rear suspension,but the general mood on this is not so favourable.. Love the clip,I liked and subscribed,purely because you are no nonsense and straight forward. As far as your future upgrade,we’ll, I already have the 3 by 3 and jd jetting,which is great,but would be looking at the hot cam upgrade,if I go with this bike,changes everything about the bike..So I would say that this is your future upgrade…

Wondering if the mods are a full exhaust, JD Jet kit and 3x3 airbox mod. I did that on my DRZ Supermoto and it made it quite a bit more exciting. I've got a CRF300 Rally at the moment but every time I see your DRZ is makes me want to get another one haha. Love the content bro, much support from NZ!

It already has a pumper carb and hot cams. Its an e model. The enduro 450 need frequent rebuilds and valves checked. Rmx450 etc

Easy guess. Big bore kit. Added a Cylinder Works kit and JD jet kit to mine earlier in the year. Makes a very nice difference especially to the mid-range torque. Mine now keeps up with a CRF450L with upgraded ECU and exhaust, so it is no slouch.

hey josh, great run through of the bike set up, looks like you've got it modded and personalised 100% to you and you're riding. with you on the hk pegs, combine those with some bar risers and farbars and suddenly you can stand up comfortably all day 😉 big question: are you going to do a full breakdown on the pink bike hanging on the wall?!

Yellow KLX400r, actually. Yes, lower peg is a must, I have long legs & its always a problem on every bike I own, 20-25mm would good. Looks like the AliExpres I have, cheap and works with a bit of mod.

Love the setup, extremely similar to mine. Keen to go on some adventures! I see you haven't ground down the back of the gear lever, even with the case savers, the sharp point can still puncture the case. It happened to my old one...

I’m always impressed by how clean your bike is Josh - good work! I am guessing the big bore kit is next for this bike. Do you run a thermo fan? This is a worthwhile mod imho especially in the warmer states, it doesn’t take long in the slow stuff for them to boil without a fan.

With the tank, have you had issues with swelling? So is it a pain in the arse to get it back off?

@@martyn_g nope, no issues with swelling. It can be a bit tricky to line the tank up the first few times but once it’s been on for a while it’s super easy to take on and off.

the bars that came in the first cape york edition kits were pro taper henry/reed bend. they're very similar to the jimmy button renthals which i prefer i kept the pro tapers as a spare set. they still have the cape york edition but it doesn't come with the bars or tyres anymore.
