There are things I notice that make me want to cry lol- In black sorrow, the scene appears where he is being grabbed by an alien at a high altitude, there are tears in his eyes, he fears death. That's why I feel that Ivan was actually panicking inside knowing his fate when he felt the first shot, feeling immense fear. But when he saw Till, he smiled remembering why he did it.

WARNING: REALLY LONG RANT ABOUT WHY IVANTILL IS REQUITED!!!! You're free to have your own opinion, but personally I do believe that Till did have (developing) feelings for Ivan that he never was able to figure out due to Ivan's roundabout, often violent way of showing his love. Alternately, he only loved Mizi the way you love a celebrity, in an unattainable kind of way, because she resembled his mother, someone who has passed away. He was in the process of acknowledging his growing feelings for Ivan when he was forced to perform on stage, so he clung onto what he had always known and wasn't afraid of admitting: his admiration for Mizi and his quest towards freedom, using them as his driving factor towards success. As a result, he wasn't able to properly think how he felt about Ivan when he was singing as he was in a survival mindset, using what he was familiar with to fuel his passion and stay alive. That's why his entire song consisted of Mizi, and why the song lacked any depth behind it, mostly just focussing on Till's overall love for Mizi. We also haven't gotten his official feelings about Ivan yet; I believe that the reason for this was so that suspense and doubt could be built about Till's reciprocation of Ivan's feelings before revealing that they liked each other all along, thus making it even more tragic. So, in my opinion, Till liking Ivan back would also make sense in the broader framework of the narrative. On top of that, I believe that Ivan's narration is quite unreliable. He is canonically shown to have a great disgust for his own emotions, often calling his love for Till 'twisted' or 'shallow'. He believed himself to be incapable of being loved and loving others due to his outward facade of coldness, likely believing it to be his true self. We see this in his relationship with Mizi, too; while Mizi considers him to be her best friend, his comments of her show a sense of distance, implying that Ivan didn't consider Mizi as even a normal friend as he likely doubted that she would want to put up with him. We see this in his childhood attitude towards Till again when he claimed that he and Till weren't friends in the "Cheer Up" panels. Because of his own self-hatred, I think that Ivan would assume by default that Till would never like him back, and this would lead to his point of view being twisted by his own assumptions. The events of both Cure and Black Sorrow are from Ivan's point of view, meaning that Till's actions could most definitely have a different reason behind them, other than Ivan's willing interpretation of them to be uncaring and unbothered, our perceptions of Till's attitude towards Ivan heavily influenced by that latter's unreliable narration. Lastly, there's the fact that Luka chose to impersonate Ivan instead of Mizi in Round 7. Luka is an experienced manipulator who specialises in grasping the weaknesses of his opponents and exploiting them. In Luka's line of work, failure to do so would result in death, so I would like to think Luka's choice in impersonating Ivan as well as the many parallels of Ivantill with Mizisua in the Final say something about Till's (in my opinion) romantic perception of him. WTF I YAPPED SO MUCH YOU'RE TOTALLY NOT OBLIGED TO READ THIS BTW

@@rabbyt3115 I don’t think that they meant that till is not in love with Mizi, I think that what they meant was that the closest thing Till had to the admiration and love he felt for Mizi, was the affection and sometimes hatred and annoyance he felt for Ivan. Till did love Mizi, but perhaps he loved the idealized image he had of her. However with Ivan it was different because Till did not idealize Ivan, and his anger with him was not so much that he came to hate him. The reason why Till thinks he "hates" Ivan is because most of his interactions were violent since Ivan did not know how to express himself with Till and also he could not find another way to make him look at him. For Ivan being loved was being seen, and Till loved the people who brought him comfort and were loving figures (for example his mother or Mizy). This does not mean that Till did not care about Ivan, in fact he was greatly affected by his death. This means that while Till put Mizi on a pedestal, a figure he admired greatly but could not reach (as if Mizi were an Idol), Ivan was the one who was closest to him, a figure that he could not put on a pedestal, therefore Ivan unlike Mizi was something that was within his reach, something that was unknown to him, something that could hurt him. You could say that Till did not want to admit that he loved Ivan because admitting those feelings could hurt him (I'm not saying that he loved him romantically, the love he felt for him could have been platonic)

They are people that we admire and love but we also idealize them a lot and we probably don't know them well, we love the idealization that we make of those people. But some people scare us and we are terrified of loving people that are within our reach because in the end we can get hurt from that situation. We are afraid of being loved because we can be hurt in the process. It's the same thing that happens to Till.
