When Atelophobia becomes an elder, they will be "keeping this same energy" if they are not disrespectful to the younger generations while still expecting to be respected. If you are not a respectable, dignified person, then you deserve no more than what you give out - no matter what your age. No one is entitled to respect beyond what you give any fellow human being simply for the act of having lived longer than someone else. Hi family. I never eat the yellow one. I am from Portland and my favourite yam is yellow yam. I wonder if I ask my mother if we call it something else. Where are you from? There are so many yams and I didn’t like all of them especially dasheen.

One thing I love what you guys said is how our brothers and sisters on the continent can learn from us however we can learn a lot from them as well. How calm, peaceful and laid-back they are is how we AAs should be. I also admire the tough love our African brother and sisters show us. They have no problem telling us to humble ourselves or give advice that would help better the way we present ourselves. It's all out of love and you gotta admit we do need a kick in the ass sometimes because some of us have been spoiled and conditioned by America and if we going back home you gotta get rid of that negative American mentality and embrace and love our family on the continent. No more dividing and denying! Let's get it together and love each other 💕

That smoothie idea that you two are discussing would be an excellent business for you two to brainstorm into fruition......IJS, I will be coming in 3 yrs waiting for my retirement, I've been researching for over a year now, I've looked at The Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Rowanda and it seems like Tanzania is where I'll land, I was in Azania in 2012, when I got to Joburg, I thought I was in NYC, although I loved Azania, and there are definitely other parts I could settle in there, its too much like what I'm trying to get away from to settle down there......Hopefully, I'll get to meet the family when I land. Peace & Blessings

That’s so disrespectful to your ancestors who built this country I wish tf I would leave here when this is the most beautiful continent.... This is an interesting subject. As an African living in the USA I can say there are some differences in the way we treat each other. I will say, and from own my personal experience, not all AA want to referred to as African. Some get downright offended when you refer to them as African or of African origin. My barber ones told me of how he complimented an AA on how was as beautiful as an African queen n she got upset. She said she was no damn African. I will say most of those reactions come from ignorance. The vast majority of AA are educated and own their heritage. The problem now is how the so called ‘woke’ want to denigrate their ancestry because they say r the true owners of the American land. In the end we all black and should be proud of our ancestry. On the other hand, Africans from Africa should also learn to accommodate the differences that exist in our cultures and stop lumping all AA together in whatever biases they may have. I love all black ppl even the ignorant ones.

U right bro I’m African American raised in a house that was taught about our African roots and saw black as beauty I was surprised to see kids thinking of “African” as an insult when I went to school. I’m just over here like “but we all black!!” And it’s definitely ignorance a lot of us don’t know our history and honestly the white ppl got to a cool amount of us mentally over the generations.

Just to shed some light, Some African Americans get offended about people referring to us as African as it pertains to heritage because that isn’t our heritage. We have an extremely resilient, painful, beautiful, influential culture we built here. Unfortunately because of the roots on which our culture was built on it is not respected, our music, or clothes our food all have roots in slavery and tells a story of resilience and survival, and people try to imitate it and undermine it because depsite how good we make it look, they don’t see our culture as valid. We DO have a culture, a powerful one. It’s insulting when our culture is treated like to doesn’t exist while people try to imitate and steal it in our face, and treat us like we shouldn’t be proud. Why should we want to take on a heritage that we never knew when we have our own, respect our shit you know ?

What a beautiful video! AfroAmericans have been brought up in an environment that is by nature progressive and you are bringing new eyes to what should be your motherland. This will bring progress and happiness to a land that is finally free to develop for the benefit of its native peoples. I think that more blacks should return and share in the culture and beauty of Africa. Leave a country where you are defined by being the “other” and return to where you are an US. This brings tears of joy to my eyes, seeing how you are integrating into your motherland. I hope others will venture out of their comfort zone and learn what freedom feels like.
