The game has brutal combat mechanics/ targeting control. The harder the difficulty the worse it makes targeting. Making the game play shittier is not how you should increase difficulty. The combat doesn’t flow as well as dark souls, breath of the wild, Tsushima, and other games it takes inspiration from.

Did anyone notice that at the beginning of the game you can't see the Thestrals pulling the carriage but as soon as Georg dies they become visible to the player? Love the attention to detail the developers put into the game

Anyone else thinking that if Isidora’s father hadn’t let his grief consume him that this story never would have happened? I mean I know losing a child is unbearable, but he had another child too. Isn’t it totally selfish of him to never talk to his daughter again because of his loss? I mean she lost a brother too… just something I thought of while watching this review..

No I don't think he was selfish. It looks like her father suffered from reactive mutism after extreme psychological trauma (the passing of his son). Therefore it wasn't a choice on his part to not talk to his daughter but a trauma response. He literally couldn't speak even if he wanted to

It is thought to be a conversion disorder which means physical pain or symptoms which have psychological causes (often long-term stress)

@@_Wizzo Maybe in year 6 if we import a save or so or just choose what we chose here we can be evil. But I think it will be in year 7. I expect it to be huge DLC's. Because the world is there allready just new story and sidequests and some collectibles/puzzles and it would be great/ they can even add a new region and in year 7 again. I suppose it will be like the witcher also new region (Toussaint) and new story's.

@@magicpyroninja J K Rowling wrote about them in some articles on wizarding world. poltergeists are "amortal", meaning that they were never really alive. they are also normally not tangible, but in rare cases like peeves they can exercise physical force on solid objects, which ghosts can not (although they can sometimes disturb gases and liquids)

While playing it I just wanted to explore and level up but ended up getting so worked up with the story and characters that I got emotional about my choices. I think mainly when it came to Sebastian Shallows side quest. I found my self stopping quest to fight porches just in case there was an animal in a cage. It really had a way with messing with your emotions. So all in all good game. Now Im gonna need some DLC content cause I need more. I know its just been out a few months.

There is a lot more stories in sidequests (natty, sebastian, poppy's being the primary ones i can remember). I personally go around doing any sidequests popping up before progressing the main storyline which gives much more insight into what was happening around that time. Sebastian's story was particularly heartwrenching.

Alistair Archibald. Ravenclaw. A self proclaimed "Potions Master And Wizarding Prodigy". My character values courage, but his thirst for knowledge places my character squarely in Ravenclaw. An all around good guy, but he has a habit of dabbling in the dark arts. (Backstory reason why a few dark arts are/may be learned)

I think that the main quest ended too soon. In my opinion we should have more insight into Goblin vs Wizards history (where Ranrok originated from - was he a ministry politician turned to evil by ministry unwilling to aknowledge that Goblins are as rightful wizards but from other race; what was his personal story to have such motivations; how did he get access to Bragbors studies etc). More insight to Izydora's motives. She was good at first but the moment she turned evil is so rushed it is non-believable for me. We should explore more about her, so the decision at the end would be actually hard. Her actions did bring peace at mind at first, she could actually do this. What was the moment she understood that she could benefits that magic to her own manipulating scheme? At the end we could continue her work and become evil or keep her power to actually use it for good cause. Or refuse it and shut down entire ancient magic in the vault. We could join the Goblins in battle for their rights in the name of Lodgok... And how on Earth our choices during the game don't change the overall result like in the Witcher 3? Every point of the story lead to different ending in that game. HL misses it terribly. And don't even get me started on every quest being outside of the Hogwarts, because I would write my ass off till tomorrow...

I love the game yet I don’t know much about Harry Potter lore but I feel like it educated me plus the soundtrack everywhere you go is cinematic. The details AMAZING. The ending I feel has so much potential especially if you know who ends up in jail and if you were able to visit Azkaban then you know they are sure to go insane.

The game is fun. The passing is horrible though. Hiding inventory upgrades the way they did. Was also a dumb idea.

And having the upgrades stop after 60 of the certain challenge when all other challenges you have to compete them all why have so many in game if you're going to cap it unless you're a trophy hunter there really is no reason to finish them also i hate that the landing platforms don't show up on the map every other challenge type does loved the game otherwise though

You can decide to snitch on Sebastian, then he'll be sent to Azkaban and you won't be able to learn the three unforgivables any longer if you hadn't yet.

There are two. Someone has already pointed out Sebastian, but there are multiple endings to the game, one where you open the repository and your eyes glow red with evil, and one where you just kill Ranrok and then Professor Fig gets a funeral. He dies either way.

in hogwarts legacy u can get a elder wood wand with one of the three cores but in the game u recue a thestral and could get thestral hair to replace the core and u could theriacaly have a wand as powerful as "the elder wand".

I love how Nearly Headless Nick has been trying to get into the Headless Hunt for hundreds of years to no avail😅😢. And that Professor Binns has been dead since BEFORE 1890 😅 which canonically means that he taught DUMBLEDORE History of Magic and then he became his boss 😂 Also how the noble Weasley family has fought to defend Hogwarts on more than one occasion. theres just so many little fun nuggets for HP lore dorks ❤

Can we just talk about the fact that the plot revolves around a group of elites wielding unimaginable power and determining who should and should not get to benefit from it? I know that their purpose in the story is good but that's a little to real for my taste.

Been playing this and loving it. Doesn't make any sense though. Why would they want them to end up at Hogwarts all along - when they kid was already given a note to attend On Sept 1? Seems like Vault 12 was just a big waste when he was already on his way there??

I don't think it was part of the plan for the keepers for us specifically. I don't think "we" the player really have much significance... It just so happens that we are the first since Isidora and Percivil that could see this ancient magic, and if someone came before us they'd have gone through the same process... I get what you mean though, however they also mentioned in the first memory that even someone without this ability could have accessed this vault, like Ranrok did after forcing his way in... I get your point completely though... Does take some interpreting and reading through the lines as it's not massively clear
