For two years, I lived in a shack at the top of a ridge just south of the lake. Several times A-10s came up the draw below ridge height, climbing over my place so low I could have counted rivets. Awesome!

My mom lives off Lake Of The Ozarks. We see A-10s out of Whiteman AFB, Air Force Reserve's 442nd Fighter Wing do training runs around the lake. We see this a lot. At least on her side of the lake. Never gets old.

My Army unit in Germany got buzzed by an A-10 when we were on the shooting range. It snuck in behind us and was barely over the treetops when he blasted by. Scared the shit out of all of us. He circled around and we know he was laughing his ass off at us but it was so damned cool.

Way cool. We live in Sun City West and are on Luke AFB flight pattern. Get to watch, and hear the guys fly by almost everyday. When I lived in Irving Texas I was on Dallas Naval Air Station's flight path and got to see and hear those guys a lot too. Best one though was when I was out hunting in west Texas and a fighter jet came screaming towards me so low I could see the pilot easy. That was awesome....

I grew up near England AFB. Warthogs flew over our neighborhood daily and did strafing practice runs out in the hills near Kincaid Lake. Never got tired of seeing them. Consider yourselves lucky you got buzzed.

I had this happen to me.. 2 A-10's did figure 8's around me using my 21' bullet as a moving target.fishing along for like 20 minutes.last pass the pilot drop to his lowest pass.he gave us a wing wiggle and a salute....so Apparently a bass boat is great target practice

I was fishing in northern Mn 40 years ago and we could hear a rumble in the distance. all of a sudden 2 F4's came over at about the same altitude as the A-10 here. I will never forget how cool that was as a kid.

After the first A10 I said to myself “there are usually 2” and then the second one appeared. Working not too far from WAFB (509th) we saw the B2 and A10’s all the time with low passes, impressive and makes you proud to be an American.

Go to the Cannon Range in Pulaski County, Missouri and you can see them fly over your head at tree-top level while firing their cannons, rockets or dropping 25 pound practice bombs. They used to fly F-16s out there too but Afghanistan changed that. They used to have an open house every 2 years I think it was where they'd have helicopters, tanks, A-10s, B-2's etc but not sure if they still hold the open houses.

We lived on a farm with a big red barn and a white roof near Lake of the Ozarks. We frequently had A-10s buzz over our barn. I think they were using the barn as a strafing target. It was amazing to watch them fly over.

I lived for a long while in Haines City, Florida, Polk County, on a 1000-acre lake. We were on the flight plan for various types of aircraft that were vectoring in on Avon Park Range... And every so often a flight of big ass F-15's would fly low over in groups of three on their due south path towards the range. They were always turning over our position, so they left the lake going due south. One day, a flight of three at moderate airspeed and 1500+ ft, came by on the classic turn... then three more did the same...too cool... then after a much longer delay, two came over clearly flying slower and even showing flaps deployed as they clearly were holding back on their third element. They made it all the way out of sight due south before #3 came into sight at the west end of the lake...he dropped down to 500 at the most and hit his throttle so hard that it started to afterburn but he corrected as he popped up over the trees on the south side of the lake at a point at least 1500 ft further west than normal....bet he caught up too.... the pressure wave on the lake surface was a special effects bonanza to behold... believe me... nothing touches the real thing....

I used to work in San Diego, you could always hear the F-18s ripping by -- sometimes you'd just pause the meeting. Once a vistor complained about the notice, and the boss-man running the meeting said, "That's the sound of freedom. Be thankful, not annoyed!"
