I agree that the Vargas bros are going to win and have put in some amazing content but Brad definitely has an appeal because you can do the exact same stuff he does and he will have a great race truck. Not many people know how to port and build their own 13b so as cool as it is backyard mechanics would be way overwhelmed

Should be ok. It's just surface rust. Here's the trick, just like in precision machines/equipment, specifically old ones, as long as the damage goes inwards and doesn't go over 40 50% you're ok. That's how i got two Bridgeports for 1kUSD total. They looked like giant piles of rust Cleaned it off, oiled and changed bearings, and they worked perfectly ok for what they were. Rust ain't final death if you catch it in time.

Back in the day there was this VHS video tape that had a guy walking through the tear down and assembly of a rotary. You could get it from people on the message boards back in they day, this was before KZbin and stuff, so getting any type of video to show more about rebuilding a rotary was a huge help. The guy in that video used a bucket, so I used a bucket. Every person I've seen rebuild a rotary also used a bucket, and I like to think it all goes back to that one dude who made that video back in the mid 90's and then spread it around the rotary forums.
