She is not seventeen she is twenty three and is a very well organised person her children go to kindergarten and school the two oldest but the youngest is still at home and she jas planted crop around her house and had chickens and ducks and goats and she picked things from the forest and fields to sell at the market and these young children always have clean beautiful clothes on them and they are always clean and have shoes and they get a breakfast before she takes them to school and they have something in their schoolbag to eat and drink at school and she usually has a meal ready for them when they come home and they are well fed They are very smart clever children the eldest girl can gather crop and the little sister help her and they can take them to the market and sell them if the mother is ill and they help with feeding the animals and on the land This lady is a very smart hard working mother and is very gentle and kind with her children and makes them do most of what they are told to do the oldest is just like a little mother to her younger sisters It was good of the landowners to give the toys that het children have grown out the she has four children herself and she was lucky that her husband is still with her and looking after the family they share what the landowners brought these children don't get very much luxury like sweets but the children are delighted and happy with the toys and sweets I think the landowners realise that she is a good tenant and keeps the land well and it is good for the mother to have some adult company to talk to ss she just has the one st the market and she usually has one if not her other two children with her and it is straight home as she has pigs as well to look after i don't think she chooses this life i think her husband was drinking and they had to get away from him just not sure But she should buy lanterns lights for her house for night i know she has a big dog but it is better to have a bit more light i don't know if it gets dark early in Vietnam but I would have thought that children this age would be in bed they are probably getting their supper and they will sleep better tonight How these mothers find the energy to work all day and look after children and cook and look after the animals and the crop it amazes me
