A 29 Hour Getaway: Day 2/2 - Carlsbad Caverns & Guadalupe Mountain National Parks

Day 2 brought us out to the majestic and mysterious Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. After our obligatory entrance sign selfie and stop at the visitor center, we finally descended into the depths of the caverns below. Filming is always a challenge in low light situations, however no video could ever capture the scale of these massive caverns along with the intricacies within their walls that were precisely carved out over millions of years. Nature will always find a way to surprise you. Before heading on our flight back to Phoenix, we decided to make a quick stopover at Guadalupe Mountains National Park to grab a quick sign selfie and a few visitor center souvenirs. Though we overlooked this park while planning this trip, our quick visit was definitely enough to entice us back in the future with plans to conquer Texas' highest point, Guadalupe Peak.
