Will to work with only 2Ghz WiFi , I have a spectrum 5GHZ WiFi

I have the Xiaomi version, identical machines. Mine only supports 2.4ghz. But my router has the option to split SSID'S home1=2.4.ghz home2=5ghz Identical SSID for 2.4 & 5GHz didn't work in my case, the robot couldn't connect.
