This is a great option as a backup b-roll camera combo. The problem I had with Akaso was that it would overheat easily, even when I had it set to 'Timelapse' so I never used it but I also never got rid of it.

I've just bought one, after sending back another similar action camera. I'm so glad that you've said what most of these cheaper cameras are doing - they are lying about the quality that they can produce. I'm not sure that you've noticed, but the 1080p 120fps forces a slow-motion after several seconds onto the file rather than allowing you to have a singular speed file. I would highly recommend that people just save and spend the extra on the GoPro variants. The quality of these budget cameras seems to be falsely advertised across the lower price range.

What did you mean by the speed of file? To my knowledge file has no speed. Maybe frames are getting duplicated by filming 60p video and outputting 120p file where every other frame is the same?

@@TechMishka Wow! I just though I would do a bit of research to see if there was a better camera out there to compliment my Firefly 8se's. Been using them for a few years now and they have been great. The sound quality, for me, seems to be the deal breaker on most of the economical cameras. 8se is fantastic in picking up audio. Only other camera I like a lot is the Eken H9r. Great picture and sound quality and built like a tank. I film only in 1080 and I think they stand up to the Firefly pretty good. I had one underwater without a case and it came back to life. That was 3 years ago. Still going strong. Just wish they had image stabilization and onboard fish eye correction. But for $50.00 they are still a steal.

What's making the 25$ jumps in terms of difference between the GA200(80$), the GA300(105$) and the GA400(129$)? I am interested in getting one for private unprofessional use and i am on a budget, i'd like to know if the 25$ gap between the GA200 and the GA300 is worth or even the 49$ gap between the GA200 and the GA400 is something that is worth taking in consideration. I also bought a Wolfang (GA300) camera without documenting myself beforehand, thoroughly. Unfortunately, I couldn't even return it, because I only used it a few days ago, exceeding the legal return deadline. I noticed that some (probably on the first action camera or something like that) are very excited. The camera is bad in all aspects: image quality, stabilization, etc. Even in daylight, if it's cloudy, the image quality is horrible. In somewhat weaker light, we cannot speak of image quality. Just look at the cameras from 2-3 years ago and you will see that they put cheap and bad hardware in these so-called budget cameras. In fact, they are some sinister craps with very high prices for what they offer. I recommend potential buyers to turn to another manufacturer and inform themselves about what they are buying. Keep in mind that firmware support is ZERO. So, no improvement during lifetime of this craps.

The footage from the GA420 is terrible, i then got the dji action 4 and the difference in picture quality using same resolution is like night and day, you might as well keep saving up and get what you really want to get……Gopro, dji, insta because these are a waste of money, oh and the mic is even worse than terrible don’t be fooled
