that pot was way smaller, and TM ended up losing it all back to ethan anyways so i dont think that's fair. ethan's just lighting money on fire and it's entertaining to watch but if you're trying to get better, dont emulate his play.

You can't call the A10 vs AJ hand a suckout, by cbetting the flop after a 4x 3bet preflop, Ethan is easily repping top pair with a strong kicker here. With so little equity on the turn, TM would basically be forced to fold to any large turn bet, but Ethan elects to basically just give up with a check-back after repping what is essentially the nuts considering the ranges on such a dry board. TM gets to see a free card that he really shouldn't ever be able to see here.

@@schoolsucksalotx TM thought he could outplay Ethan with donkey hands, he forgot about the massive luck factor that our boy Ethan has and got caught with his hand in the cookie jar one time too many
@VordeIsHere
@VordeIsHere 3 жыл бұрын
@@schoolsucksalotx A 4x 3bet pre-flop might seem big to you for a hand like AJ, but if you were to consider a call there you will give the rest of the table good odds to join in a multi-way pot as there are already 2 opponents in the pot before you. Therefore, it's actually a good idea to isolate hands with a big 3bet, this does not necessarily mean you got the nuts like premium pocket pairs, you can do this with broadway cards or suited connectors as well. Moving on to why Ethan checks back on the turn, if you cbet on a dry board like K-6-3 and gets called, you have to think that you are probably behind. There are no draws out there and K hits Ethan's 3bet range, so the only hands that would probably call are K pair or sets. Hence, when the J comes out, you actually have showdown value and if you were really behind, you don't want to lose more money by betting again. If the opponent is floating with A high, you are still leading with your J pair. It's just unfortunate that TM hits the Q for the straight, but you can't take precautions against everything in poker. I think Ethan played that hand well in my opinion.

Yea, watched the stream, and TM did suck up on you a couple of times hitting his draws. Based upon his play on some of the hands, your read was correct, it was unfortunate that he wasn't 3 betting light with the AK. So, it was your time to polish that horseshoe that normally works so well for you, and hit your live card too suck out on him.

If you're stacked by VIP at the table who cracks your aces with 92o, do you feel bad? I'm telling you, they don't give a f*ck what they won with! If you feel bad then get mental coach.
