Mom needs to be more open to options. If sports is what she likes, it will definitely give her more confidence and strength to overcome adversities.

There's another video wherein she's already 12 years old and her mom is actually supporting her now. She practices weightlifting and can lift weights above her shoulders.

She's more concerned about stunting her child's growth. The stress from weight lifting (especially when you're a child) can cause early damage to joints/etc... She never said anything about not supporting her daughter, she just said she was too young for it (and even the pros had the same opinion)
He sounds like a dad who wants to find her passion. Mom wants to protect her but keep her little. They need to know finding her passion will do both

Mom knows the child needs to grow and weightlifting hinders it unlike other sports such as swimming and gymnastics. That's why if you ever saw a pro swimmer, runner, high jump, gymnastics, skating and many more you see there physique is really well developed at a young age I get the mother because her child needs to grow as she was just really young but she can practice weightlifting until she reaches 20 because even if she weighs those dumbells really a lot at that age the growth of her body already stops and she has more developed joints at this age. That is why I understand her mother's concern. I can tell the mother was supportive but wants the best to her kid while the father does the same but without thinking about the future consequences.

Beginning with the Winslow residence, built in 1893 in River Forest, Wright developed a so-called "Prairie Style" by constructing residences echoing the gentle undulations of the northern Illinois landscape by emphasizing horizontal lines and asymmetrical facade elevations covered by broad, sheltering roofs whose eaves projected decisively.r0fI
