Really nice tank. The wrasse might be a male Cirrhilabrus cf. bathyphilus. One of the different variants.

Ooooh nice pickup, I’ll go research some more!
@sunnygoold94492 ай бұрын
Yeah I think it's just C. bathyphilus (not cf.) looking at it's colours on the reefbuilders site - 1.4 Fairy Wrasses: The bathyphilus group - and also because it's in Australia and importing a cf. is unlikely (given quarrantine laws). Very nice spot! Also I think cf. is now C. efatensis Both are deeper water species too. Very cool

When going custom & especially large is it not worth having a fee closed loops on the bottom for extra flow rather than wavemakers all over the glass…? Nice tank , loads of potential, hopefully can sort the flow issue out .
@ParkersReef2 ай бұрын
Closed loop is great when it works, but is super complex. Need a lot of plumbing which takes up a lot of space and you run the risk of it breaking the bottom pane of glass with extra holes drilled in it. That being said, if you have the time and space to setup a closed loop flow setup properly - it is a thing of beauty

Is the water cloudiness from cyano, you comment that it looks like he has a problem with cyano bacteria. I think I know cyano makes the sand kind of purplish-red. Otherwise looks like a great tank, a shame you didn't catch it during an optimal time.
@ParkersReefАй бұрын
The cloudiness was a product of the tank being serviced just before I got there to film, which included a stir up of the sand :P
