Don't be discouraged Tanner. You've had to encounter so many new experiences in a short period of time that has to be overwhelming. The knowledge you've obtained is priceless in the big picture of your racing career.

These half miles you haven't ever raced at especially here in PA are gonna be tough your first time out. It just is what it is, you do what you can, you looked ok, didnt junk a car, you just learn what you can for whenever you're back to it. You did a good job overall. Port's the same thing, new big fast half mile, it's just not what you run where you're from lol. Live and Learn.

Thanks for the explanation of how the car is handling. Drivers understand the terms you're using, it's really helpful for me. Sometimes a video just doesn't allow for the viewer to really feel the car. Also Sprint cars little different than some other racing machines. The whole idea of staying flat or going faster to make it turn or to make it stick is pretty foreign to a kart racer like me. Also I understand how the locals are fast. Your humility makes you my favorite athlete. Trophies and glorious memories fade over time. Character wins forever.

So much pressure is felt from outside and inside. We know you are driving hard, and great runs will happen. Next time you are at the East Coast Grove, you will be ready to rumble. Have a great night at the Port Royal. You are the "Oregon Outlaw."

This Pennsylvania swing is a starting point, Tanner! I think I've put this in the comments once, I'll put it here. This quite is especially true for those trying to race in anew region..... "Without a start, how can you get better"?

Tough weekend for sure. Definitely been a difficult trip east for Shark Racing. The good thing is you have 3 team cars where you all can be experimenting with different setups and hopefully one of you guys hit something. I know its frustrating but you are going about it the right way. Keep your heads up!

Willam’s Grove is a track that is so difficult that Joey Saldana only finished 2nd there fewer than 3 times, and never won. Getting through a weekend without totaling your car is good enough.

Keep learning Tanner it's all new to you so take the good days with the bad. Question, as I am not a racer, is it better to start the night with a tight setup or a loose set up. Keep up the good work.

Hi Tanner, keep up the the great work. I have been following you for a few years now and have enjoyed watching you reach your dream. Don’t let the knockers get to you .Drive that car hard and show them you’re the best. Hope you are at the chilly bowl again this year. Anyway tanner good luck. Cheers from Bluey from Downunder.

Those straightaways are so long you could order dinner on your phone by the end of the straight. Although the pucker factor could be distracting. To bad you never got to get experience running Calistoga in California ( Rico's neighborhood) one of the few 1/2 miles in Cali.

Tanner, running Late Models, but not on your level, leaving dirt and moving to asphalt in 1987, I learned about load and unload as y’all call it now. In my day we called getting the car to set. What I taught myself 😮s when let offfull throttle is to use that millisecond to turn and once the car started to turn was to use throttle to make the car take a set. Throttle up and yeehaa it drifted towards the outside wall but by the time it got close I was nearing the next turns. May or maybe not make sense to you. Watch Kevin Harvicks in car because no one does it better on pavement but for me it seems similar to my dirt days. Don’t be discouraged Tanner. I’ve not a doubt about your future in Sprint Cars. Hang tuff

From my vantage point it looks like shark racing has performance issues. Looks like your sawing at the wheel to keep it straight. I don't think the problem is you as much as you think.

Facts 💯 and this is something new to Tanner not racing but in general going to different tracks out side of the Mid west give it another year if not 6months and he will start moving up/forward reason why Gravel and all them are as good as they are is because they been doing this traveling to different tracks for years now that's why I say give him 6-7 months in 2024 and Tanner will be getting a couple close to a podium or a podium finish just in the past months of him doing traveling now he's improved

Looks like it needs steering damper. The left wheel looks as if it has a mind of its on and looking at steering wheel your not sawing that much. That scrubs so much speed and looks like it would upset in front grip. I raced karts for 15 years and don't know a great deal but smooth and on the throttle as soon as and as much as possible was what I looked to. Your doing great but seat time is key and your doing well and can always be better even if it feels perfect there is always room to go faster

That car never let you enter the straightaway with any kind of speed. You were never able to puck the throttle up early.

Some days good, some days crappy. Kinda how it goes. But, the starts are an area that hurts you every time. Flag drops, they take off, you don’t go with them. Hard to watch, knowing you can be better. But heads up. Keep working hard. You’ll get there.

I think the most spectacular wreck I ever saw was at Ocean speedway and it happened on the front row before the starting line on the green flag, where one car got a front wheel on the car in next to it and took off like a rocket in a twist. Super fun slow motion barrel roll on the wing. Starts are critical in these cars but the number one rule in racing is 'you must first finish to finish first'. Every one around you is trying to get a jump. Tanner knows what he needs to do. His poise should be respected. I've won championships I hesitate to second-guess drivers in the car.
