I've always loved this song but the older i get, the more this song really sticks with me. Growing up in the hood, we all have a cousin, brother, uncle, someone that this song reminds them of. And the fact he looked up to him - it reminds me of myself too. The lyrics, the feels, it turns the "characters" you see in the hood into people.
