I gave Strive ABA a shot and man, I love it. Second character I picked up and immediately enjoyed playing. The fact that if you play your cards right you are fully in control of the jealousy gauge and can chose when to scale back and when to go full gorilla mode is amazing. Going aggressive in jealous rage feels godlike and well earned, since it's relatively easy to screw up and lose a lot of gauge putting you at a significant disadvantage state.

I think Season 4 will be Jam, Robo-Ky, Venom, and Dizzy. The Season 3 survey dropped in time for Season 4 to be character requests, so we'll see. I think they did a really good job with seasons 1-3 on adding characters they thought people would like, 'cause a lot of those characters ended up being highly requested.

~300 hours of A.B.A. just on the Steam version of +R alone, more than that spanning 12 years of +R, I have to say A.B.A. is the most intact looking Strive character from her old design that I've seen yet. Looking forward to adding 10 more hours to the 80 I already have on Strive before deciding I still don't like the game lmaoo

@@Beans-do6wc I made this argument on LucidButtonMasher's channel before, but I think Slayer already has a very Strive-friendly moveset and I wouldn't be shocked if they translated him pretty directly from Xrd to Strive. Things Slayer is known for: Big Damage on Counter Hit Very strong 6P Dandy Step Things Strive is known for: Big Damage on COUNTER Hit Strong 6Ps While trying to predict Daisuke's vision is always a bit fraught, I would be rather surprised if Slayer somehow lost dandy step in the translation. Meanwhile his counter-hit oriented gameplay, strong 6P, and strike throw mixups really are not out of place in the slightest in Strive. All this is to say I'm pretty confident Slayer will fit right into Strive with fairly minimal changes to his kit.

Other than the obvious no blood pack, she did lose goku moroha mode too (but didnt expect her to keep it), her 3rd rekka option, her orbs which were more just used for combos, no more projectile so she cant unblockable you anymore and her air super but it wasnt that good anyway but most importantly no more butt loops for her since she lost her butt special but yeah even though she lost some tools she got away pretty good.

That last tidbit about the 'tough situation' is just moroha lag again. She runs out without switching back, she gets stuck in the animation for a while. No IKs or three knockdowns to punish it anymore, but that's what he's talking about.

No IK's, but Strive damage off cS can basically be an IK. Seems like it's easy for her to control the meter to avoid it though.

I think the "tough situation" is just having a completely empty jealous gauge while stuck in normal mode. As ABA the only way you can get anything is from parrying something or getting a hit into key in that situation. No bloodpacks. I would guess it's well worth to spend meter just to extend pressure and blockstrings if you got her blocking in mode to deplete it, as her climb back to full strength might be brutal.

Every time a new character comes out there's so much negativity I feel. I'm not a fan of ABA or Elphelt but I'm happy for their fans. I feel like the only thing the FGC cares about is how it feels to play against a character completely disregarding the actual character. There was so much panic about Elphelt and we didn't see a single one at ArcRevo. I feel it's fair to complain when a char is straight up broken like HC or Asuka, but in most other cases you can just learn the MU. Not a specific jab at Jiyuna btw, I just see this kinda stuff every time a char comes out.

Panic not really. People panic about Elphelt just because she's very broken in the previous game now Strive have more better character than her in fact base roster might be more broken than most of the dlc character and it's a very good state for this game. Asuka and HC are broken but you literally need a very good understanding with that character. They're not a stupid broken where you don't need any skill to win.
